My Walkman.. is Loading forever and cannot open

1.Try resetting the Walkman by pressing the RESET button located on it. It looks like a small hole. You can use any pin or any sharp pointed object to reset it.

3. Disconnect all other USB devices if you have connected to avoid conflict.
4.Connect the Walkman to the other USB ports on the Computer.
5.Check whether the USB Driver is installed in the Computer or if it is corrupted.
You can check whether the USB Driver is corrupted or not by following steps below(only for Windows Operating System).
Right-click on MyComputer icon and select "Manage".
Then, select Device Manager at the left plane.
Then check whether any "Unknown device" or "?" or "!" is listed under Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the bottom of the right pane.
If there is so, then right-click on it and select uninstall.
This will un-install the USB Driver.
Then, un-plugg the USB cable and plug-it in.
Now, the Walkman should be recognized as a removable device in My Computer.

If the issue persists, then connect the Walkman to a different Computer to check whether the issue is with the Computer or the Walkman.

When I plug it into the PC it does not show as connected

Try it in another computer (Mac, desktop, notebook).

It could either be the USB-to-disk-drive interface that has failed,
or the USB cable that has failed,
or the disk-drive inside the casing that has failed.

Try a different USB cable.
Open the casing, and remove the disk-drive, and temporarily connect it as a "slave" disk-drive in a computer, to see if it can be detected.

1) Obviously you can connect SOME devices over USB, as specified in your statement #2. If the problem is wider than that stated in #2, please be more specific.
2) The behavior you describe is symptomatic of counterfeit USB sticks. Some low-cost counterfeits accept formatting to their advertised capacity, but there is really no memory there. When formatted with formats that require data at the end of the address space, these drives will fail.
3) This is an artifact of moving Macintosh files onto a PC format disk. If you don't want this to happen, ZIP the files before moving them to the USB stick.
