First are you using a genuine Sony battery if not then get one. if you are it is a faulty battery pack and requires replacement, if under warranty take it back to the place of purchase

FROM WHAT I CAN FIND ON THE SONY WEBSITE AND OTHER SITES, THIS MODEL HAS MANY STRANGE PROBLEMS AND MANY ERROR CODES. YOU MIGHT TRY THE " RESET " THEY LIST TO REMOVE THE BATTERY, HIT THE ON SWITCH FOR 5-10 SECONDS THEN REINSTALL THE BATTERY AND POWER UP THE CAMERA AGAIN AND SEE IF THIS CLEARS THE ERROR. YOU HAVE TO ADMIT THAT YOUR CAMERA HAS DONE SOME VERY INTERESTING THINGS IN THE PAST. I WOULD HAVE SENT IT IN FOR SERVICE WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. IT IS SHOWING SOME SIGNS OF REAL PROBLEMS AND IT MAY HAVE TO BE SENT IN FOR SERVICE. BUT, PLEASE TRY THE RESET TO SEE IF THIS WILL WORK. I HOPE IT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM. forget all that nonsense-buy a memory card reader that supports pro duo card w/out adapter and transfer with no problems-if you have the larger duo adapter get any reader that supports memory stick

it might be a virus 

I have the same problem as well but just with video.

just format the internal memory.
