Hello. My recommendation is for you to call Magellan directly, get an estimate and then if you choose to, send it in for repair. You may ask a technical support question or request a repair and get a Return Authorization (RA) number by phone. An RA number is required prior to shipping your product to Magellan for repair. Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST/PDT

It is actually much cheaper to buy a new unit than to repair it.
It cost around $150 and above, depends on how crack it is and what model of magellan you're using.

GPS had fallen off glass and broken power connector port( 5 pins in metal frame) inside of GPS. I can not put power jack into GPS.
From the Magellan website, http://www.magellangps.com/support/warranty.asp, their policy on broken screens:

"Magellan will replace receivers with a broken display returned within the warranty period with a reconditioned unit of the same or comparable model at a reduced cost to customer. Customers with a broken display unit returned outside the warranty period will be given the opportunity to purchase a new unit at a reduced cost or reconditioned unit also at a reduced cost."

My magellan mastro gps touch screen will not respond. less than 4 months old. magellan wants me to send the unit back to be replaced by a refurbed unit with a 3 month warranty. i would like to know how can...
turn it on, make sure the battery has a good charge on it, then locate the reset hole on the left side near the bottom and use a paper clip to depress the switch...youll know its reset if the unit goes off and reboots....if that fail, it needs a digitizer (the part that lets you navigate your magellan) its the upper layer over the touch screen.

i buy broken magellans off ebay if i need a digitizer or screen..normally for under 20.00

The touch screen on our Garwin Nuvi 360 do not function.
Unfortunatly there is a fine wire Grid below the surface of the glass, the grid detects where you are touching on the screen, with the glass being broken, the grid is broken, which will cause dead spots or regions on the touch screen. You will have to replace the Touch screen or the unit which ever is most cost effective.

Broken touch screen
if it is cracked then most likely it will need to be sent back to the manufacturer for repairs. If its not working correctly you could always try to do a screen calibration.

Sreen works not accurate (RM 700)
This seems to be a general problem with Raodmates - try tapping a bit firmer with your fingernail - if that fails then bin the Magellan as they are very unreliable and Magellan Support is very poor!!!!!!!!!!!!
