Verify the cord from the adapter to the piano is not broken (common occurance) using a voltmeter at the connector.

Then verify the connnector is seated in the piano.

Casio Privia Px-110 digital piano won't turn on. I have tried replacing the AC adaptor but still nothing.

You should not be replacing an adapter on a guess. That could be checked in 15 seconds with a digital multimeter.

Your issue is likely a dislodged connector inside. Remove connectors and then reconnect.

I have a Technics PR-305 Digital piano The back light is barely light when I turn on the piano Can that be replaced?

yes maybe you may fined that some of the power to the led is being blocked by causing a larger resistant to the led which will cause it not to light up as bright.

Check the DC adapter. It may be shorted/broken. This type of stuff happens sometimes.

My P85 simply won't turn on. I have tried two different adaptors. Neither work yet they are functioning with other keys. Please help. I have a gig on Sunday

What adapters have you tried? The P85 REQUIRES a 12 VAC adapter, NOT the common DC type and it needs a 1.5 amp (1500 ma) type adapter. If you connected a DC adapter it will NOT do damage, the unit just won't work. You can find adpaters on Ebay or Google search.

I have a Casio Privia PX-130 and I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't turn on. I have noticed lately that when I would be playing a song that when I pressed a certain key that it would make this...

Test the adapter with a meter... Most probable cause is a bad power connector. Often the solder at the input power connector breaks loose is only problem. If you are not electronically adept, best to take it to a shop.

Yamaha CP33 Studio Piano won' turn on. Was thinking maybe the power chord overheated but really have no idea

Make sure you have the CORRECT adapter for the unit. It should say Yamaha on it and match the voltage and polarity. Thest the output with a meter. Common problems that happen to the piano itself causing the symptoms is a broken power connector or broken solder at the connector. Use a meter and verify the adapter is producing output. Expect the output to be a bot higher than listed when not plugged into the piano as there is no load on the adapter.

When I turn the piano on, nothing happens I checked the plug-in but still nothing happened. I just played the piano a couple of days ago and it was fine. Do they have fuses which need to be...

I woulld not even venture a guess as to what brand/model/ etc you have. How do you expect us to have any idea to help you?

I will say that a very common problem is if the unit, whatever type it is, has a power adapter, it is COMMON for the plug to work loose... If your unit has a regular cord, then there are likely fuse(s) inside, but if they blow, there is another problem that must be repaired before fuses are replaced.

Does the unit have any lights or displays that show power is on? If nothing is lit, then VERIFY that the cord is plugged in at both ends... ANOTHER problem is that SOME wall receptacles are switched... intended for floor lamps and if one has the switch off the receptacles is dead...

Again, you haven't given us enough info to really help you...

Have a 2004 Casio digital piano. Makes a screeching sound when try to play,

Verify the power adapter is the exact one specified. If you run on batteries, replace them with name brand ones. Just because the display lights does NOT mean the electronics are happy with the power.
