I am getting a 922 service fuser error on my lexmark optra s 1855

922 Fuser Error message indicates that the fuser unit failed to reach the standby temperature. This usually requires a service call but try to turn off the printer for 30 seconds before turning it back on to give the engine board a chance to reset. Make sure the printer is plugged in straight to the power outlet in the wall. Bypass any surge device or power strip as they can cause low amperage. If the problem continues or if the error appears every time the printer is powered on, you will probably need service on the machine.

922 service error message, what does this mean? Can I fix it myself?

Hi,
922 Fuser Error messages indicate that the fuser unit failed to reach the standby temperature.
If this is the first time you have seen the error, turn the printer off and on. Leave the printer off for at least 10 seconds before turning it back on. This gives the printer's engine board a chance to reset.
If this is an intermittent error, you may want to check how the printer is plugged in, even if it has worked on this surge device for months. Make sure the printer is plugged straight to the wall and not through a surge device or power strip. Power strips and uninterrupted power supplies can cause a low amperage problem in your printer which can trigger a false fuser error.
If this does not help or if this error appears every time the printer is powered on, you will probably need service on the machine.

I'm trying g to connect my Dell AIO 922 printer to

You need to go to Control Panel add/remove programs and remove all Printer programs. Then disconnect the USB cable, install the printer software until a message comes up that says plug in your printer. If no message comes up, complete the software installation and then plug in the USB cable. The computer should find the printer at this time.

Dell 922 All-in-one printer has message on printer saying head error

can you provide the error message, depending on the error and if you want to attempt to repair it yourself? Printers are like computers these days you can almost replace it for the repair cost, but if you will provide a error code we can see what we can do.

I had that problem too.

Unplug the printer.
Hold the printer cover open while you plug in the printer.
Then close the printer after it powers on.

It worked for me.

Dell 922 Printer

You will have to use the New Dell 922 VISTA drivers and not the XP drivers in order for it to work with your Vista Loaded PC. The new drivers for the 922 under Vista are available for download at Dells website. Check out this link http://support.euro.dell.com/support/topics/topic.aspx/emea/shared/support/dsn/en/document?c=ed&docid=314972&l=en&s=bsd Hope this helps.
