If you use any kind of LCD monitors for example Samsung or LG or BenQ, you'll see each and every monitor has their auto adjustment of the monitor's resolution. Many people really find it difficult to adjust when it gets locked.
First find you auto button of your monitor
(It should be beside the power button)
Press and hold the button until the box disappears..
Now just press the auto button. It should have unlocked by now.
You still have shorted out components on the circuit board, you will need to download tha service manul here to do an indepth troubleshooting: http://elektrotanya.com/
Hey dont open the LCD in a hurry......the problem may be due 2 usage of LCD 4 long time better dont on the pc for a day........or in night time keep it under the fan.......this may give a better result........
Llay the monitor face down on the floor (I put it in the styrofoam from the package) and then put it up against a solid surface. Then push the part into the socket before attaching the round base.
I tried pushing down onto the monitor while holding it upright but that didn't work. When I called Samsung tech support the solution above is what they told me to try and it worked.
Hey Mate, its either the graphics card of the monitor. both can give you that problem, first thing i would try is open the base unit and take out the graphics card and refit it, see if it fixes your problem or test another monitor on it.
Second if its the monitor your best to send it back to samsung as it they honestly aint worth fixing, will cost you probably more than the monitor is worth, we used to sell the samsung syncmaster monitors and they were nothing but hassle, its the only monitor we ever sold they we sent about 70% of them back for dead pixels, or just packing in for one reason or another.
All the best
