Either replace the friction dampers or relube with Nulon 90 or similar. The pins that hold the dampers should be replaced after being removed. The top & bottom halves of dampers seperate, you only need remove 1 pin (top or bottom) if relubing.
Do not apply any lubricant to the pins!!!

Spin vefy fast

A rapid spin cycle is actually a GOOD thing. This is an indication that the gearcase (transmission) and the drive motor are both running strong.

If the washer shudders during the spin cycle the first thing you need to do is check to ensure the washer is properly leveled. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3868923-level_whirlpool_top_loading_washer

The model Whirlpool top loader you have, has an auto-leveler mechanism on the back two legs that can become unlevel periodicailly. You should check the washer level from time to time when it is empty. You need to also make sure the washer is level in ALL directions (front-to-back and side-to-side).

Accidental unbalance problems that can occur from washing blankets, comforters, or heavy loads of towels can also cause the washer to become unlevel and shake. This can also contribute to the level mechanism becoming unbalanced.

Overloading the washer can also cause unbalance problems. Washing blankets or conforters can cause the load weight to shift to one side of the tub. This will result in a tub that shakes violently and bangs against the cabinet. You may have to redistribute the load weight when washing heavy items. This can also occur when washing loads of towels. This is NORMAL as some heavy items do not distribute the weight evenly.

Another problem (which is less common) that can contribute to wash unbalance problems is a weak floor under the washer. If the floor flexes (even the slightest) during the spin cycle, it can cause the washer to bounce or shake. Mobile homes or laundry rooms on the second floor of a home are notorious for having weaker floor structures. This washer has a 35 gallon tub capacity. Coupled with the weight of a wet load and the spinning action, this can put a lot of centrifugal force on a floor.

If you have any questions or concerns, please post back and let me know. I hope this information is helpful to you.

Why does my front loading washer turn sideways on spin cycle

i would check to make sure the levelling legs are down properly, AND LOCKED!! Once leveled, there is a nut that is cranked up to the case to prevent them from moving up and walking around the laundry room.

During spin cycle, washing machine is bouncing around the room

Sounds like the drum, balance weights have come off, to me. This will cause those symptoms.

LG front loading washer: recently moved to a new house and laundry room is on the 2nd floor. Re-installed the shipping bolts in the back of the washer that secures the drum prior to moving the washer. But...

Make sure machine is level and all four leveling legs are solidly touching floor at the same time. Make sure leveling leg locking nuts are screwed up to lock legs in place. Check floor for firmness. (try bouncing up and down in front of washer to see if the floor has excessive give.) You may need to re-inforce floor. Wash larger loads. On bulky items, use a lower spin speed. You can re-spin at a higher speed after cycle is complete if you want them spun out better. (some models have a pump and spin only setting, on others, just turn on the power and then only touch the spin speed button to select a 14 minute pump and spin only cycle, then touch the start button.) The only other thing is that the new LG washers use a balance ring now, which makes the machine perform much smoother. (I know because I gave my old LG to my son and replaced it with the newer model, which now runs much quieter, in the exact same location as the old one.)

Walking during the spin cycle

Is your floor level, first thing. Okay, the rear 2 legs are not adjustable so leave it. The front 2 legs should be screwed up (ie the machine should be at the lowest level in front) and there are check nuts to tighten inside the body of the machine. Check the machine it it rocks by using your hand against it. Adjust accordingly, this is if your floor is not too good. You shd not hv any problem. If the rocking persists check inside machine, behind after getting he plug off wall, maybe shockabsorbers hv come off, springs?.....

and rate me please if helped.............

WAY too much shaking

Take out the four "shipping\travel" bolts in the back of the machine. Read the manual- it will tell you how to do this. John
