Most wiring harnesses have a solid orage wire for illumination of the radiohow to play dvd video when driving my car - 2_bing.gif and also have an orange wire with a white stripe for dimming purposes. Most radios do not use this dimming feature. Connect the brake wire to this wire and your able to watch your movies whenever you want. All the wire is looking for is a signal. It cannot differentiate between a parking brake signal and a non-parking brake signal. Just remember to be safe and pay attention to the road. Oh, and most states have laws governing the use of video playing in plain sight of the driver. BE CAREFUL!

Hi I have a Pioneer AVIC-D3. I want to know what video format do i have to convert the videos and burn them to a DVD-R inorder to play in my AVIC-D3

if you rent a movie from blockbuster and want to burn it to a dvd

you need a program that breaks the code and then allows you to burn it to a dvd-r or a dvd +r it depends on your dvd burner on your computer for what dvd disk to use. once you find that out and have burned a dvd and it plays on your computer it will play in your dvd player in your car always

the only thing you need to know about your radios formate is if you want to play audio file from ipod or window media file mpeg video some of the pioneer i think play divix video format

just look into your owners manual or go to pioneer.com pull it will give you the formats you head unit will play ....

My JVC car Dvd cant play the video while driving, even when parked' what can i do?

It is often illegal and dangerous to allow an indash head unit to play video while the car is in motion. Depending on your model of JVC you may be able to "trick" it into playing video.

Some newer models use the gps guidance to determine if the vehicle is in motion and if so will not play the video. Other systems use the emergency brake.

Search the internet or FixYa.com for "JVC DVD your model Bypass"

Playing movies from external hard drive

Hi rox09
Well you can rip your DVD to any external drive using and third party DVD ripping software ,once you do that you will get a AVI,MPEG and any common fomats your DVD player supports

Inorder to play those files in your DVD player ,you need the check whether your DVD has a USB input port or else if you laptop or computer has a S-video out put and your TV has S-Video input ;you can play directly from your laptop/computer to the TV using a S-video Cable which is available in any Computer shop.
I hope this helps

Car in dash cd/dvd player

Most in car dvd players require a connection to the parking brake so it will not play a dvd while you are driving (in dash only). The easiest way around it is to run a 12v wire to the lead of the parking brake wire on the dvd player. With a constant 12v it should play when the ignition is in the on position.

For my dvd rom region

Region Code is concidered when you play any DVD movie directly from the Drive.

Like you insert any Video DVD in the Drive and right click on it and play directly where the Region Code comes into Picture.

You will be able to change the video code 4 times to use Video DVDs of different regions. However, the fifth time, what ever the DVD you use, the Drive will be locked to that region.

We need to check whether your Notebook is able to detected the DVD Drive or not.

Follow the steps listed below to check it :

Insert any DVD which you used earlier like a Data Disk or Video Disk in the DVD Drive of the Notebook and close the tray.

Now, go to My Computer and right click on the DVD Drive of the Notebook and select Open or Explore.

If you are able to see the content of the DVD / CD, the Notebook is able to detect DVDs.

I recommend you to copy the video files in the DVD into the Hard Drive and play them since this will reduce the noise generated by the DVD Drive while playing video from DVD and also its life time will be increased.

You need to copy the Video_ts folder which contains the video files in Video DVDs.

Hope this helps.

DVD player playing while driving

It's not that difficult. Get a two position toggle switch and run the wire that normally goes to the brake, into one end of the toggle. Then run a wire from the other end of the toggle to a ground. Whenever the message comes up on the screen about viewing while driving, flip the toggle switch on then off and it will bypass the safety feature. That's how I did mine and two other buddies of mine.
