Opening .fxr and .fxd files moved from anther computer

Hello,  I have a bunch of WinFax Pro ver 9 send and received files (FXR and FXD) that I copied from another computer.  I can open individual files by simply double clicking them.  However, I can not figure out how to get them to appear within WinFax in the send and receive logs.  Can you please help?  Thank you.

You can't unless you have the original Send and Receive Logs to go with the FXR and FXD (and also CVR, IND, FXS files etc.)

Where is the oil plug located on a 2005 Harley FXR?

I didn't think Harley made the FXR anymore. I thought they discontinued that bike in 1999 or so. But, just in case, the FXR's oil tank was under the seat. The drain was located at the bottom of the tank on the left side of the bike under the triangluar shaped frame insert.

Now if the bike is and FXD Dyna Super Glide, the oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission. Under the transmission, there are two drain plugs, one is located near the center of the oil pan and this is the transmission drain plug. The engine oil drain plug is located towards the left front of the oil pan. Drain the oil with the bike on the side stand.

To determine the exact model of your bike, search the Internet for the "Harley alphabet" You should be able to find a site that helps you decode your serial number (VIN#) to determine the exact model of your bike.

Good Luck

I lost all my logs and cannot get or send a fax when i try to do anything, i get the message"the following error occurred when attempting to open a folder, call failed one or more files for that phonebook...

This error indicates corruption of data, would I would suggest is to backup your data files immediately, the biggest mistake many do is by copying files while WinFax is open. Make sure WinFax is closed, and the WinFax Service is stopped when you copy or move data around. Restoring sent and received faxes to fax logs

That's not the way to backup your logs. You copied only the fax images, and not the logs to go with them. This is a common error that is made quite often. Unless you have the original log structure, your data (logs) that link to the actual fax images (fxds, fxrs, etc.) are lost.

Windows Updates will not download...

Version 10.04 will not fix the problem with Windows Updates, and 10.04 will only update from a 10.03 version. Its not recommended unless you're using Fax Sharing and Windows XP.

Its possible you've overwrote some important system files in the process of copying files, but WinFax itself would not cause the problem.
