I wash the dishes on a normal setting. I've used the 155 degree setting and not used it. Either way, the dishes come out dripping.
Please advise,

First
perform a vinegar cycle wash in the dishwasher. Pour a cup of vinegar
into the bottom of the dishwasher. Keep the temperature at the highest
setting possible and perform a wash cycle. Then start using a dishwasher
most probably that would solve the problem. If this does not solve the
problem then there must be some parts worn out or faulty creating the
problem.
There are many probable causes of failure .
To
clean the dishes the water temperature is essential. It the water is not
hot then the dishes will not be cleaned properly. So check the water
temperature.
Also check the filter in your dishwasher.Clean the filter if there is accumulation of debris in the filter
If you are in an hard water zone , then try reducing the amount of detergent used and then try cleaning the dishes.
Hi Thanks for using FixYa. Check the water temperature by using a thermometer inside
the dishwasher to measure the water temp. It should be as close to 125 degree F
to 140 degree F as possible. This
would have happened as the dishwasher was overloaded with more than prescribed
number of dishes. Check the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks. As
the dishwasher is not draining properly, this issue
is related to kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the
dishwasher drain hose) & clogged drain pump & filter. Also note that
dishwashers do not drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal.
Dishwashers are designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the
heating element doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large
amount of water being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of
the most common reasons include that the drain hose isn’t working properly, the
drain pump isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in
your home’s drain lines. If you have checked the air gap and the drain hose and
can’t locate the problem, then it is an issue with the drain pump of the
dishwasher. Please do accept the solution if the issue is
resolved or else revert for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
You need only enough space so the door does not rub when opened. If the unit is too far back under the cabinet the countertop (if wood) can be damaged by the exhausting moisture. The dry feature on the newer models is just as you describe. The moisture from the hotter dishes evaporates and is condensed on the cooler walls and door of the wash tub. Dry dishes wet tub is normal. Eric
The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com. They have a new product out that solves this problem once and for all. It filters the water entering your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that cause these spots. Very affordable and guaranteed to leave your dishes looking amazing every time.
Check the operators' manual.Don't use the drying element as it's costly on the electric bill. When the washing cycle is complete leave the door partially open and let the water evaporate
It seems that the newer dishwashers are worse at drying dishes than their tupperware melting predecessors were. They have all been tuned down, and do dry less. The only thing that you can do is to set your machine for the hottest wash, power dry and use a rinse agent that provides a sheeting action. Some folks use white vinegar as a supplement to their rinse aid, which has the added bonus of killing mold. Water also stays attached if the water has laid down minerals as noted by cloudy glassware. If this is the case, a dishwasher filter (dishwasherfilter.com, $70) might help. We try to wash hot, with a power dry and use a rinse aid/vinegar. Then, when the cycle is complete, but the dishes are still hot, we open the dishwasher, and "jiggle" the racks to get the excess water off of the glasses, and leave the dishwasher open about 2" at the top, so the dishes will continue to air dry. This has been an effective method for us.

Hi Dirty Dish gang. After having 2 appliance repairmen here, I now have the latest scoop on our dishwasher problems, $200 later! Los Angeles IS currently having hard water issues. Also, all the new cleaning gels etc. are actually a cause of our dishwasher problems. So, here is what we need to do: 1.Use Cascade POWDER detergent only. Make sure is is just "plain" no "scented" or "complete" or gel, etc. (I have tried a phosphate free powder and gel and this is a cause of our problem as well!)2.Use Jet Dry in the dispenser (set it to a 2-3 opening)3.Make sure water is at least 120 degrees4.Only run dishwasher on "normal" setting. All others just run it longer, hence causing more water stains.5.Do not pre-wash dishes! You can knock of chunks with a "non" soapy brush, but don't rinse (the oils actually help to clean the dishes)6. Do not wash sponges in dishwasher. Acid Wash:The repairman just gave my washer an Acid Wash today. It says it is an acid derived from lemon, I got mine from Carters appliance in Torrance, CA for about $19.I am to run a normal cycle with the above mentioned Cascade after this "acid cycle" is finished. If you are still having problems: Monthly maintenance:Glass Magic:Buy a box of Glass Magic (near the Cascade) Use 1 Tbsb in main detergent compartment of dishwasher along with the Cascade, till washer starts working again.White Vinegar:You can run an empty dishwasher with white vinegar once a month. Fill a bowl with 2 cups vinegar and place on bottom rack. Then run as a normal cycle...this allows vinegar to disperse slowly. So far it seems to be working. Good luck.
These dishwashers have no heater for drying dishes. It has a fan to circulate warm air. It is very important that your water temp is at least 120 degrees. It is the combination of hot water and air circulating that dries dishes.
