Do you have power surge or failure issues with your electricity? Try plugging your TV into an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) to get line conditioning and the continuous power.

Otherwise, I'd guess there is something else causing memory failures (bad chip or something).

I hope this helps.

I bought this HDTV for my daughter , she is up at school now.I installed it for her and there were only about 20 channels. even though the system had more the lady at the fron desk told me that they are getting a new system on the 31st so I just left it and expected it to work . but my daughter just called me and said that someone else brought another tv in and installed it on the same cable and all the channels work great. is there anything I can do , is there a switch on the tv somewhere.

Somehow I am getting "button locked" on every button but the power button. Does anyone know how to fix this??

A factory reset on several AOC models can be performed by unplugging the TV for 5 to 30 minutes. When it comes back on it should be reset to factory defaults and ask to do a channel scan. You have somehow enabled the so-called childproof or "Bar mode" of the TV which deactivates the panel buttons so kids (or patrons) cannot mess it up.

Service mode aoc lcd tv

This sounds like a common problem on these TVs. Try a factory reset:

1. Press and hold "Menu" and "Channel+" on the TV. (do not use the remote)
2. Using the other hand, press the Power button.
3. *A small screen should appear in the top left part of the screen.

4. Using the remote, select "Memory Recall" and Enter.
5. Power off and reboot the TV and Computer.
6. Run channel auto-scan to regain the picture.

If this still does not work, perform steps 1-3, but when you get to step 4, select "EEPROM Init". Then steps 5 and 6 to power it off and back on.
