The gas dryer stopped getting warm? i have a stackable top load. its about 5 yr old model but was never installed til now.
To have it get warm there are 3 things have to be working together:
1- Ignition needs to be on to start the burning.
2- Gas valve needs to be opened after ignition is on.
3- Gas continues jetting in until a thermal switch turns the valve off.
You can open the rear panel to observe if the ignition is glowing or not. If it is not then that the culprit. If it is on then glows off after a while since the gas valve is not open, then you can just replace the thermo sensor if it is separate from the gas controller. Some controller has it integrated then you have to replace that. Good luck.
