Question about Mitsubishi WS-65313 65" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

After power failure, TV will not turn on

The Mitsubishi WS 65869 or 65909 (don't know which for sure but I think operation is identical) won't restart after power failure. The green timer light is on a fast blink and the power button on both the TV and the remote control are ineffective. Pushing the reset will momentarily turn off the green timer light, but when you release reset, fast blink resumes. Any ideas?

Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

After a power failrue . my 65" Mitsubishi keeps flshing green light. I cannot turn it on. Reset couple times, did not help.

Replace the DM capacitors. That will often happen after a power failure, as the capacitors will be bad and the set will continue to operate fine untill the power is lost, then they can no longer charge due to their being weak so the timer led will blink repeatedly because the DM cannot complete the boot sequence untill the capacitors charge.

Have a mitsubshi model no vs-5017s tv turns on sometimes.sometimes just clicks goes off when trying to turn on.i think it might be the timer but dont know how to

If it is the timer, the timer would be found in your menu, and it would have a minute timer showing on the screen. Otherwise you proabably have the all-to-common power supply failure. It can be tested with voltmeter. You can test the capacitors in the power supply with a capacitor tester. These capacitors due tend to go way more quickly now days.
