Can i install a clarion cdc635 6 disc changer in a stock car radio

You sure can. Pull the radio out and then install a Line Output Converter to it. They look like this - http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=line+output+converter#q=buy+line+output+converter&hl=en&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbs=shop:1&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=tgKHTfzhNsG20QGfu-nSCA&ved=0CDYQrQQ&biw=1600&bih=799&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=f3631e0cf306c035
From $10 dollars on up. Simply hook the speaker wires up to the converter and then run the RCA cables from that box to your CD changer. That's it. this is a simple project.

Peugeot 307 Blaupankt CD Changer IDC-A09

Hi, I know this is an old post, but I'll reply, so that other readers may get the benefit of my answer.

2004 was the year that Peugeot/Citroen changed from VAN bus to CAN bus wiring on their stereo's. If your car is before or early 2004 you will need the IDC-A09 blaupunkt in dash changer, which should just plug in and work straight away.

However, If your car is later 2004 onwards you will need the IDC-A04 Blaupunkt changer which will plug in and power up, but will not work properly untill you go to a peugeot dealer and they hook up some diagnostic software to tell the car a changer has been added. Both the IDC-A04 and A09 changers look identical.

I would say that you got the wrong changer, as the IDC-A09 changers in pre/early 2004 should just plug in and work.

Remember: Pre 2004 cars need IDC-A09 (plug and play) and Post 2004 cars need IDC-A04 changer (get pug dealer to reprogram cars computer)...its a costly mistake if you bought the wrong one!

Will one of these disc changers hook up to the new decks?

According to the manual at sony's web site, the sony cdx gt520 deck does indeed use RCA style hook up cables.

Sound only coming from one side

you should have 3 leads going into you multi changer, two rca's and one bus lead. power up the unit and remove the first rca cable if the music goes off unplug the second rca and plug the first rca where the second was plugged in, if the music comes back on then the multiloader is working fine and you need to check the radio controller and its connections

Clarion DRX9375r AM/Fm/CD Headunit optical output question.

I have the same HU and the same processor as you. First I only used the chinch cables to the processor, and from the changer.

The improvements you make; your headunit DAC and your chancher DAC wil not be used anymore. The differens; normal with a cd you convert a digitalsignal into analoge, in the HU or changer, and then you make it digital again in the processor, en put the signal analoge into your amp.

The advantage is; the processor uses the famous Burr Brown DACs and that is know by its good sound processing.

cheers mate
