    I had the same problem! I swear I've tried every damn remote code and still nothing, I'm fed up so just buying a replacement remote online from Emerson. So frustrating grrrrr

    I've tried all the codes listed in the manual for a symphonic tv/vcr combo for my new universal remote and none of them work. I have the Symphonic model # SC3913 from April 1999. Where can I find the code? Thanks!

Try the sylvania tv codes, I think it was either 1150 or 1151, I can't remember now, the DVD code is 3142

You are going to find at most a Universal may turn it off/on and do volume but will be missing a lot of key functions

If you lost the remote Google the internet for an exact one or if the old one does not work see i f someone can repair it---most are easy to fix.

I can't find a code to set the remote for my Symphonic combination TV/DVD tv
Hello, on some of these combinations you might have to try not only the TV codes on your universal remote list, but also the DVD or VCR codes also. One of these three will program your universal remote, but make a note: you may have a partial function on your remote ie: power, but no volume control or channel scan(up/dn) or no number operation(0-9). This happens on some of the universal remotes not all of them. thanks!
