Hello my DVD drive will not play and will not show

dissambling and taking the hard drive out of the dvr will most likely void the warrenty how it is possible.

once the hard drive is removed you may be able to plug it into your PC and gain access to the files on the hard drive. These how ever may be specially encoded and protected files that you cant open.

-you PVR may have also done a hard reset and formatted the hard drive. This would delete all the files on the PVR.

-unlike tapes, erasing a hard drive does not require you to record over it. just because nothing else has been recorded does not mean your data is still there. sorry.

The D Drive will always show full. The problem is probably the drive itself. Try cleaning it with a CD/DVD Drive cleaner. 1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
2) Press the Open/Close button to open the tray
3) Press the info button, the firmware version shows up (
4) After the version info disappears, close the tray again by pressing the Open/Close button
5) At this point, it will show "no disc" at the top. Press the Info button again, and this will disappear. If the "no disc" does not disappear then try again by using the REPEAT button 
6) Now type the code that applies for your region (R2 is 57538). A '2' will briefly show up at the top left corner
7) Now press 9, and 9 will show up in the top left corner
8) Power off the player, and turn it on again. You'll have a multi region player

This worked on my dvd1080p9 R2 DVD player

yur remote is not working properly.. please replace the batteries and chec or else yu have to replace yur remote..

do the following
1. Copy the songs to a local if it's not there
2. Play the song, check if there are any disturbance
3. If there are disturbances in the songs, it indicates that the files are corrupted.
4. If the songs play properly, then it's a problem with your cd drive

The device may be disabled or is in conflect with something else. I would recommend to have the drivers uninstalled and reinstalled other wise reformat your hard drive. FFR (Full Format Restoration) don't forget to back up.

Hello, I am using LG GSA-H55N. Few days back it was reading DVD's properly but suddenly stopped playing DVD's. It is showing the drive but on clicking the drive letter it is showing a blank page. Please help

Hi, i have LG GCC4522B CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo Drive and my problem is that i could open & play CDs. However when i insert DVD the drive doesn't detect the DVD and it shows no DVD in drive or blank. I checked the region setting which is 1. Is it the problem of region setting if so is there any solution for this. Expecting your valuable solution in this regard.

Trojan Horse virus still exist in partition files and you should format entire HDD with Disk-Manager-2000 or some thing like that. After format, reinstall Win XP.
I been faced such problem few months back and that was effected solution.

it ofen happen at some time........drive doesnt play dvd when u use duplicate or pirated dvd disk.........
1 st use a good quality disk of dvd ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
if problem remail same then imidately contact ur dealer(shop) & replase u r dvd drive............

some time it also happen due to problem in dvd drive.......
