When the Magellan 2200T was purchased for me (as a gift) I was told that it could be 'updated'. We don't use the unit often, however I would like to know how it could be updated. I have the cables, etc. that go with the unit.
Do you want to update the firmware or the maps..the firmware is free but the map update is about 80.00 ..thats double of what the 2200t are selling for...
never the less, you can get either updates HERE just follow the instructions to the letter or you may render your 2200t inoperable if you fail to allow the update to complete or possible by trying to update it with a half charged battery...make sure its either plugged in to power or the battery is fully charged..
P.S. the update is for the north american version, if you need one for another country, id be happy to get you the direct link to there download page. you will also have to register on the magellan site before they will let you download any updated.
