if the flame is lighting you have lint blocking the air flow either in the dryer or in the vent line, also if you have a flame for the first 10 to 20 minutes and then the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils located on top of the gas valve, when the coils are bad they can work for the first 10 to 20 minutes until the coils get hot and then they fail and you'll see the ignitor glowing orange but no flame, bad gas coils.then when the coils cool down they can work again.hope this helps.you can try removing the vent line from the back of the dryer and see if the flame stays on,if lint is blocking the air from blowing out the flame won't stay lit long enough to dry the clothes.
if it's heating then you have a block somewhere, all a dryer does is heat up,cycle off when it reaches the right temp.then cycles on again and moves air.you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides down into, vac out the cabinet where the motor is and clean out the vent line,if the vent line is long, take it off from the back of the dryer,go outside and make sure the vent is clear,go back inside and with a leaf blower blow out the line,if the dryer's electric i would do this once every two years and gas once a year, gas dryers have an open flame inside the cabinet and can catch fire easier than an electric dryer.let me know how you make out
ck/replace the 2 black coils on valve they will sometimes fail after 1st start up slight chance it may be flame sensor mounted on side of burner to ck remove the 2 wires and short together temporaily if flame stays on and reignites ckd vent system first bad flame may cause sensor to shut it off if flame/vent ok replace sensor
hi . thanks for the question i would check the dryer venting the problem could be there remove venting from dryer to outside and clean thanks the appliance doc
make sure that your vent is not plug up can you go outside your house and feel good air coming out the vent when the dryer is turn on if so the only other things it could be is the coils that sit on the ignotor assmebly or the high limit termistat is not working properly the coils are little black circle coils that sit in the ignitor assmly should have a metal braket across the top of them holding them in you can check resistance on these coils if you have an meter
