Where is the heating element located on the GE DPSB613EDWW / DPSB613EDCC Electric Dryer ?

You plug it in on one end and run it through the guides to the other end and hook it up there.

If you can disassemble the dryer, you should find full troubleshooting instructions including the resistance of the electric element and which terminals to test. If the resistance is out of specifications, maybe you could replace it. Parts are generally available at appliance parts stores.

the heating element is located inside the air duct that blows air into the dryer drum, that whole assmebly is inside the dryer cabinet.

The heating element is located in a pan on the rear wall of the dryer. You must remove the front and drum to access it. Start by opening the door and removing the screws that hold down the top. Then you can easily get the front off. In a GE dryer almost 100% of the time it is going to be the heater element.

Check the vent sometimes if the vent is blocked the thermostat gets false reading.There are some other problems such as thermostat,Igniter,heating element.

The exhaust hose in the back will not affect whether the dryer will heat. The hose just removes the used hot air to a place outside your house. I assume dryer drum spins, but you get no heat. If the dryer has gotten a few years of use, I suspect that the heating element has gone bad. Have you noticed that it has taken longer and longer to dry clothes than it used to? If so, most probably the element is bad. The element is not unlike a heating element in an electric stove, and is housed in a duct inside the dryer.

Most heating elements can be accessed by removing the back cover of the dryer. Please unplufg the dryer first before starting this project.
