My Sony 32" TV wont go on. My little daughter was pressing the power button on and off and then it just stayed off. If you press the on button it makes the sound like the tv is going on but there's no sound or picture. The power/standby light blinks 5 times.
Can you tell me what the problem is and how much it would cost to fix if worth fixing. The TV is 2 years old and worked perfect till my daughter broke it.
When the " SONY Bliking Codes " generated the circuits self diagnostic to trigger the pulse because some error accure....5 times blinking mean there's something wrong whit RGB level, the level not balance after 2 second due at first time the tv on...the protection circuit will send the error report, the tv will have no picture or sound....you will need to check at M board there's much things you have to do...

The primary power supply is good, maybe the horizontal output transistor is deffective thats why there is no high voltage supply in the picture tube because theflyback have no supply voltage and oscilation. So check the harizontal output transistor and replace if deffective.
I have a Sony Trinitron KV-35S66 36" TV my Stand by/Timer Light keeps flashing, I have tried all fixes, it's 9 1/2 years old is is worth fixing/cost.......no money!!!!
