Do you know of a good recipe book that works with masterbuilt smo

You can purchase a new heating element part # 990050051 either from Masterbuilt or from Factory Appliance Parts http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/gasgrillparts/brands/masterbuilt/
If they are still available. All of Masterbuilt's electric smokers have been plagued with electrical problems.. It's either the element or the electronic controller on the top of the smoker, that constantly fail.

No, no charcoal is necessary. If you used charcoal, you'd go from low and slow smoking, to high and fast grilling. That's not something you want or can do with a propane smoker. For more information and recipes go to www.masterbuilt.com

Here is one I like to use. Marinate in a little veggie oil and honey mustard dressing overnight. Rub it down with Honey Mustard after the marination and sprinkle on a good Pork Rub (purchase at Winn0Dixe or Publix) or make your own. You can Google Pork Rub. Place the loin in your smoker at 225 and use a digital probe in the loin. Cook till 142-145 internal temp. Take off, wrap in foil and then a towel and let stand for 1/2 hour. Slice and enjoy. I hope you like it.

Go to the MasterBuilt website via this link - and search the list for the Electric Turkey Fryer models that most closely resemble your model. They all seem to show digital controls now, with and without drain valves, but I think the information is essentially the same as for the older dial control models. Recipes are included in the PDF files.
