SOURCE: How can I remove oven door so that I can replace the broken glass

I just took my oven door off and took it apart to clean the glass inside. I don't have a maytag but they probably all work alike. Just open the door like you are going to broil something and just lift it up. It should slide right off. Shouldn't have to unscrew anything. Hope this helps. Arlene

SOURCE: the oven of maytag range mgr5775qdw poorly

The ignitors/burners need to be cleaned properly.

Build up of grease, dirt, rust, mineral deposits, etc can cause improper gas flow resulting in a delayed ignition. That causes a build up of gas and the delayed ignition ignites it all at once, and you have your WHOOMP mini explosion.

How do I replace a Maytag wall oven's upper hinge?

There are two types and they both work to a theme. Modern Oven hinges are inset into the door itself, so you just split the door apart, take the old ones out and the new ones in. The other type have the hinges inside the oven itself between the outside of the oven cavity and the outer panel. With those you pull out or remove the wall oven and look at the back and underneath for the screws. Remove the side panels, remove and replace the hinges.

Maytag aqualift range is not getting very hot

your Maytag range has only a single heating element located at the top of the oven, it is likely a "broil" element, which is used primarily for cooking food close to the top of the oven. The lower heating element, which is typically used for baking and roasting, may be hidden beneath the oven floor or located at the bottom of the oven.
If your oven is not getting very hot, it is possible that the broil element is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. However, if the oven is not heating evenly or is not getting hot enough to cook food properly, it may be a more complex issue related to the temperature sensor, the control board, or other components.
To diagnose and repair the issue, it is recommended to have the range serviced by a qualified technician, who can properly identify the model and locate the faulty component. The model number of your range can typically be found on a label inside the oven door, on the back of the range, or on a storage drawer beneath the oven.

-it gives a display message F5 (where normally the clock time is) and beeps; i can't see anything wrong with it though. what does the error message mean? it is a Maytag gas stove Model CRG9800BAB or BAE (I...

• The F5 error code indicates that the oven sensor has changed its resistance value and has failed to read the oven temperature correctly.

• If you choose the repair the range yourself it is fairly easy to do.

• REMOVE POWER to the range and then open oven door and locate the pencil like probe protruding from the back of the oven cavity near the ceiling.

• Locate and remove the screws that are holding the sensor to the oven liner.

• Carefully remove the sensor and connecting wire harness to the point were you can get to the connector. Install new sensor and re-install into oven liner.

• Note!(some sensors have a harness plug and some have ceramic wire connectors).

Here is a link to the part you need.

Started oven to bske brownies - started beeping and the letters F-3 came up?

F3 is a bad temperature sensor.
Unplug the range. Remove the oven racks. Look up high in the rear portion of the range oven for a thin metal piece about 4 inches long. Remove the screws and remove the temperature sensor for replacement.
Parts can be found at repairclinic. com .
Enter your model number found inside the pan drawer to look up the temperature sensor.

What does an F1 fault indicate

MAYTAG
Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes Failure
Code
Condition Check/Repair F1 Defective touch pad or membrane Replace touch pad or membrane (usually the touch pad)* F1 Watchdog on board Replace touch pad or clock assembly (also called the ERC) F2 Oven too hot Replace relay board (if present) or bad oven temperature sensor F3 or F4 Open or shorted oven temperature sensor Replace oven temperature sensor F5 Hardware and watchdog circuits disagree Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC) F6 Missing AC signal Check for proper voltage F7 Function key shorted or stuck button Replace touch pad or clock assembly (also called the ERC) or un-stick button F8 Analog/Digital supervisory Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC) F9 Door latch supervisory Check door lock circuit or replace clock assembly (also called the ERC) F0 Function key stuck Replace touch pad or clock assembly (also called the ERC) * Here is a simple test that you can do to determine whether the clock or the touchpad are defective when the display reads F1:

- Disconnect power to the range.
- Gain access to the back of the ERC (electronic range control, or "clock").
- Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire about 1 ½" to 2" wide.
- Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on. Replace any covers removed to gain access to the ERC.
- Turn the power back on to the range.
- Watch for the F-1 and listen for the beep.
- If you get the F-1 and beep, replace the ERC.
- If after approximately 60 Minutes you do not get the F-1 fault, replace the touch pad.

NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock control as one part so F1 = bad clock control.

Warning: If you do not feel comfortable doing this test or making this repair please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.
