Hi Dannydoda,

I understand that, you are using different compatible ink cartridges and having problem with colors.

HP printers has a small built in firmware, which can detect the original ink cartridges and the ink level.

Using other compatible ink cartridges may damage the print heads of the printer.

I suggest you to replace the ink cartridges with original or Genuine HP cartridges.

You can also try some of the steps to fix the issue as given in the web link.

please click on the web link given below and perform the steps carefully.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00042885&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=79499

This should fix the issue.
Have a great day!

New refilled colour cartridge not working; printer states Remove and check colour cartridge, even though was working initially but then stopped. Help!

most hp printers made in the past five years , are pretty smart about detecting a non factory cartridge being installed ( they use a fancy measurement method of doing this that is not user changeable) now the refill folks know this now and try there best to fool it , sometimes they are successful but as in your case I suspect it was only temporary ,

read your owners manual : its right there in print "use only Hp factory cartridges from sealed containers as replacements"

My out of warranty l7680 will not print or photocopy in colour. Printhead status says Refilled supply Detected in printhead Black No/Yellow Yes Magenta Yes/Cyan Yes Detected in Printer Black No/Yellow Yes...

The error states that you are using non-HP cartridges for all colours. If black prints fine then you should replace the colour cartridges with genuine HP colour carts. You should be able to get a refund on the refills since they clearly do not work as intended.

Printer HP Deskjet D1460 prints pink"..Instead of Black

The printed colours are an "additive" mix of the "primary" colours in your printer.

So, when the colour ink-jet cartridge is "out-of-ink" on one (or more) of its colours, the "mix" will be off, and the "wrong" colour will be the result.

Change the colour cartridge.

Before changing it, run a "deep-cleaning" cycle, using the HP Support software that was installed when you installed from the CD-ROM that came with the printer, to "clean" any/all "clogged" ink-jets -- i.e., a clog could be preventing one colour of ink from being sprayed onto the paper.
