I totally agree with 'dgstrut', I guess you have not formatted your memory card before using it to store photos that's why it is displaying this error. So, I would suggest you to format your memory card first. In case it does work there after then your memory card might have corrupted and need to be replaced. But before replacing the corrupt memory card don't forget to recover your precious photos stored in it using any picture recovery software.

Some older cameras will only accept certain size memory cards and types. Some faster new memory cards may not work with your canera - check your manual
The card may have become corrupted. Use a separate card reader and download any pictures from the card. Then, insert it into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.
You have no choices other than formatting it. The message indicates that there's a data reading error inside the flash memory, possibly some sectors have been corrupted or damaged. I can't guarantee formatting will be successful. And the other problem is that, you'll not be able to format it from the mobile, if your pc has no card reader, you'll need a card reader to format (in india, you'll get a card reader between the range Rs.150 to Rs.300 or more).
It'll work fine after it's formatted, but you'll loose the data saved on the memory card (and it'll be hard to retrieve since it's corrupted and or damaged, if you want to try a recovery, please let me know before you save anything on the memory card i.e. before the images of the pre-formatted files are overwritten).
Change your memory card. I had same problem with my new Fuji Finepix S1000fd. Problem always came out in flash mode, with write/read error and freezing problems. Always use Premier brand memory cards. Prior to changing it, I also suggest to format your present card.
The problem with the c350 is that it does not accept a memory card higher than 1GB! I found that out through the Kodak website and not in the User's Guide!
Make sure it's a Sandisc, Toshiba, or Panasonic memory card. No bigger than 2 MB unless you have done a firmware upgrade. Try formatting memory card and if that doesn't work then you will have to get a different memory card.
So as not to spoil your vacation, go buy yourself a new compact flash card locally. They should sell them anywhere electronics are sold, including WalMart, etc. See if you can get this new card to work in your camera. If so, then you can work on trying to get your current CF to work, by trying to format it in the camera.
If you can't get a new CF to work in the camera, then you likely damaged either the pins in the CF socket in the camera, or some switch that is pushed when the card is inserted (to tell the camera there is a card in it). It is unlikely you will be able to have this fixed during your vacation, unfortunately.
