I'll find water in the tank when the washer is off. I will put it on the drain cycle to drain the water. Come back about 6 plus hours later to find water in the tank. Possessed washer?! Took apart the hoses from within the washer to look for clogged piping...nothing, all clear. Is this common for these whirlpool duets?

Water pump to drain water activates but doesn't drain water from machine

Hi, Make the following check: 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check wire harness connections. 3. Check drain pump. 4. Check drain pump motor. 5. Check that the drain hose and drain pump filter are clear of foreign objects. 6. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 7. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.

LSR8233JQ0Washer won't fill

The water is syphoning out the drain hose.
Many times when the stand pipe is backing up someone will seal the washer drain hose to the pipe to avoid overflow of the stand pipe.
This causes the water to syphon from the washer.

Or the opening for the stand pipe is just big enough to put the drain hose in and is to tight causing the syphon.

Putting the drain hose to far down the pipe can cause a syphon also.

Kenmore HE2 front load washer. All cycle lights flashing plus spin and clothes clean lights on.

I'm sure this is probably too late, but hopefully it will help some else. I just had the same problem. First, unplug the power. Then take the lower front panel off and grabbed a bucket. Place the bucket under the large "plug" on your right. This is the drain. Slowly unscrew the drain plug, Hold your nose as it will probably smell. Allow the water and such to drain into the bucket. When you see the blob of wet lint drop into the bucket you will know why the machine refused to work. Make sure you clean the drain plug and screw it back in tightly. Put the lower panel back on and reconnect the power. I hope this resolves your issue.
