My dvd home surround system has just gone off with f61 on the display screen what could the problem be and how can i resolve it

REPLACE RSN IC(SOUND AMPLIFIER THEN CHECK AND REPLACE 2 -3 SMALL TRANSISTORS TWO 2SC3199 AND ONE 2SD592 THEY RE ON THE AMPLIFIER BOARD,EVEN WHEN RSN IC IS REMOVED SHOULD NOT SHOW F61 AFTER YOU'VE REPLACED THOSE TRANSISTORS

Check and correct speaker cord connection-after checking that everything in its place and no wire touch each other .
disconnect all speaker cords and connect it one by one while you play any music until you connect one who make the problem change its cord with new one and connect it firmly in its place.

Error Code F61. Do I need a new fan?

it is fault of cooling system, and sound output error, if fan is disconnected or not running F61 comes on screen then nothing happends, power sound ic is the main cause of the device, not only cleaning works, may need to change the the power sound out put ic.

hi sorry for my english ,but i got the solution try to read this carefully.
While stopped and “DVD/CD” is the source, press and hold [] on the main unit and [S10] on the remote control until “Initialized” disappears from the television. Turn the unit off and on again. default will begin. s10 is the buttom 10 (enter) in the remote control. i hope you will fix it . Alejandro Rosas . from Coyhaique ,chilean Patagonia

Error Message

The F61 indicates a problem detected in the output amp stage and the unit us shutdown to prevent further damage. If you can supply the model number, I can give you the part required and the approximate cost.

Panasonic SA-HT940

F61 is a problem with the output amplifier pac. It is the equivalent of "protect" mode. The output pac needs to be replaced. I'll look up the part number for you.

Hi,
check audio out cables ( usually white and red ) unless HDMI.
Also see if theres another alternative output socket.
If non of these resolve your problem, possible audio amplifier/fets damaged.
