Electric clothes dryer

Runs for about 5 minutes then turns off. Will not stay running.

The most likely cause is a bad timer. The timer determines how long the unit stays running (drying the clothes). A timer is typically $100-150.

Secondly, it could be a faulty motor. This part generally cost about $100-200 dollars.

Samsung Dryer starts for 5 seconds then stops, but drying time still counts down.

Electric Dryer starts and runs but won't heat.

Clothes not drying, but dryer runs & heats
1.defective operating thermostat---test thermostat, replace if defective
2.fan or it's pulley loose on shaft---tighten set screw
3.incorrect heat or timer settings---reset timer
4.clothes to wet when placed in dryer----wring out or extract water from clothes before placing in dryer
5.clogged lint screen or duct (little air motion)---clean out lint screen & duct

Dryer won't stay running, shuts off after a few minutes.

Maybe the timer or wires not hooked up right or motor if u hear like a buzzing sound when u push start it's the motor

Kenmore electric dryer shuts off after 5 minutes and won't restar

when you try to start it again do you hear a humming comeing from the motor? can you jump start it by turning the drum while holding the start button? If you say yes to these questions you have a bad motor.

The gas dryer won't stay heated up.

Do you have stacked clothes on top of it or anything else? If so remove those items and never put anything on there. it's not a table it needs to be clear so heat can dissipate from cabinet. IF that doesn't solve it write bac

Your motor is bad...they are famous for it...! As soon as it has some real work to do...It fails. If it runs for a minute or two...with clothes and no unusual noise...then it clearly the motor...
