There are a few possible reasons why the handle and coffee holder on your Krups machine have stopped locking in place. One possibility is that the coffee holder is not properly aligned with the portafilter. Another possibility is that the locking mechanism is damaged.
To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following:
Check to make sure that the coffee holder is properly aligned with the portafilter. The coffee holder should be centered in the portafilter and should not be crooked.
Clean the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism may be dirty or clogged, which can prevent it from locking properly. You can clean the locking mechanism with a soft cloth and some mild detergent.
Replace the locking mechanism. If the locking mechanism is damaged, you will need to replace it. You can purchase a replacement locking mechanism from the Krups website or from a authorized dealer.
If you have checked all of these things and the handle and coffee holder are still not locking in place, then you will need to call a qualified technician to diagnose the problem.
Here are some additional tips to help you troubleshoot the issue:
Make sure that the portafilter is not damaged. A damaged portafilter can prevent the coffee holder from locking properly.
Make sure that the locking mechanism is not bent. A bent locking mechanism can prevent it from locking properly.
If you have recently cleaned the machine, make sure that you have not used any harsh chemicals. Harsh chemicals can damage the locking mechanism.

* Check your warranty. Call for service
* Check with coffee vendor (may have a espresso tech.)
* Support; https://pasquini.com/pages/support
*** Following is for information only.***
* Service should have fully tested unit prior to releasing it to the owner.
* Check the portafilter(s) Brand. (Just because it worked earlier, the new gasket may be correct and the previous gasket was another brand)
* Check the portafilter(s) baskets for dents, flat areas on lip, and clogged holes in baskets.
* Replace worn dump box rubber bumpers (the part that gets hit with the portafilter.) If the metal bump support rod is exposed then this metal to metal contact will damage the portafilter and basket.
* Check for the correct (brand) baskets. Some are flat edged while others have a rounded lip.
* Check for portafilter "Port" if it's clear of obstructions (old coffee)
* Some portafilters come with a built in flow restrictor that needs calibration or cleaning.
* Re-check group head for miss mounting, damaged gasket or group head.
* Check if leak has coffee in it (leaking group head at or near gasket)
* Check if leak is clear. (leaking before group. Solenoid group valve.
* If leak happens all the time even without dosing then check the group head plumbing for leaks.

PS; If everything checks (and new) but still leaks. Have the Service tech double check the parts in Group head assembly and the portafilters used as there may be a part miss match (wrong brand used.) I've found that group gaskets come in all sizes and thickness even from the same company. It may look the same but if you take a micrometer to check, it's different.
The Sirena portafilter is 58mm and the Barista portafilter is smaller at 53mm so the two are not interchangeable.
58mm is a fairly common size in portafilters however, so if you are looking for something different for your Sirena, there are options. Also the Sirena has a rubber disc and peg to function as a self-tamper, those can be removed so you can tamp your own grind and adjust it to your liking.
Sure. 52mm-58mm step-up adapter 58mm-52mm step-down adapter The difference is that one is for putting a 58mm accessory onto a lens with a 52mm thread, the other is for putting a 52mm accessory onto a lens with a 58mm thread.
HI
If the portafilter is coming out when brewing your brew head gasket needs to be replaced. If you have never replaced your brew head gasket its way beyond time. They should last about 3-4 years at the most. With a good brew head gasket the portafilter should be easy to lock in, not requireing a lot of pressure to force it over. Try replaceing the gasket first before you invest in a new portafilter. If you really need one I have some and the gaskets.
You have a stuck check valve. Try running the pump with the steam knob open, then shutting it then, opening it 4 or 5 times and see if it will pop open. Make sure that you don't have the portafilter in at the time you are doing this.
My understanding is that this is normal with units like the ESP8XL which use a pressurized portafilter. Non-pressurized units will leave a dry puck of used grounds.
