How to turn on rgb from lap top to tv.

In order to connect your laptop to your TV using RGB, you need an RGB adapter. RGB is also known as component video; it breaks up a video signal into red, green and blue. laptops do not have RGB outputs. However, many laptops have VGA, DVI or HDMI outputs. An RGB adapter connects the single VGA, DVI, or HDMI cable to an RGB cable, which is actually three different cables tied together. INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Connect either the VGA, DVI or HDMI (in the order of increasing video quality) cable to the VGA, DVI or HDMI port on your laptop, depending on what is available. 2. Connect the other end of the cable to the side of the RGB adapter with the single input. 3. Connect the RGB cables to the red, green and blue ports on the other side of the RGB adapter. 4. Connect the other end of the RGB cables to an available component input on the back of the TV. 5. Tune the TV to the component video input you used through your television's menu. 6. Turn on your laptop. The laptop should now display on your TV screen.

I have a Toshiba 3387DB TV and am trying to connect it to my laptop. Tried to use DVI (out of laptop) to RGB phonos cable. Then through a scart adapter into the Scart 1 socket at back of TV. Manual says...

You need to convert the component sync signals into a composite sync compatible with SCART. The red, green and blue signals can be connected through as-is.

Connect laptop to toshiba 50h8250

This requires a converter. If the laptop has a VGA port, use an VGA to component video or VGA to composite video converter. See this site for some examples: http://www.svideo.com/pctocomponent.html . Do not use a VGA to component video cable - these are meant for projectors that use RGB signals.

If the laptop has an HDMI port, you'll need a different type of converter, like this: http://www.hdtvsupply.com/hdmi-to-component-adapter.html . Then set the output to YPbPr.

I hope this helps.

(I doubt your laptop has a video controller that can output a non-RGB signal.)

Connected my laptop to Toshiba 27AF45 tv with VGA cable and RGB but it does not display properly - shows color and rolling black lines. Any suggestions?

Hello
VGA [Video Graphics Arrey] and RGB [Red-Green-Blue] sockets are not compactable, and will not get a proper display. You must have a converter [VGA=>RGB] is needed in between. Ok

My laptop (Toshiba Satellite Pro M70) freezes (a times, it gives a blue screen error) when I move it [or adjust its position]. Changed the Hard disk but the problem still persists.

There's no M70 model, so I'm assuming you're talking abut a Satellite Pro M10, M15 series laptop. If the slightest movement hangs it or causes BSOD, then my guess is ... well ... I'll let you have it: the weaknesses of this models are: (1) bad memory socket (the upper socket),or (2) bad sound card socket. The one that's easiest to access is the upper memory socket - remove the installed memory from that socket, and see if your machine will still hang or blue-screen. I don't know if anyone still fixes these sockets (I do), but you can get around it by installing a larger capacity memory into the lower socket and skipping the upper socket altogether.

I wanted to know why i dont have color on the dvd's i put in my player

Go to the menu for the DVD player and look for RGB mode. If it is set to RGB, try changing it to another option, if not, change it to RGB. This has helped me on numerous occasions and the correct mode to use depends on the type of TV, cable, socket, etc..

I can't project my image from my laptop to the projector..

A usb cable will not work that way--on your projector, it's used for data...you need to obtain a monitor cable which will plug into the vga connector on the laptop and into the connector on the projector (rgb in 1) or (rgb in 2) If you use the #2 rgb input, make sure the button IS NOT pushed in! If it is, the projector will be switched to OUTPUT mode on the #2 connector. Also, on the laptop, normal operation is "laptop only"...when you push the <alt F4> buttons, it should then switch to "laptop + external display(projector)", another <alt F4> push will give "external display only" mode. Then, another push will return you back to "laptop only". NOTE: Sometimes, you have to turn on the projector first, then immediately turn on the laptop--not to get technical but different equipment can get finicky about syncing up...just something to be aware of...

Samsung HLP5674WX color went out

Have you not inadvertently pressed S Video / S VHS or put it into RGB by mistake?? Try various inputs just in case it`s a bad socket. You can usually switch different sockets into different modes, It`s definitely worth checking these first. Is the scart lead in the back not loose?? It`s got nothing to do with the lamp or display, It sounds like a button may have been pressed or the uPC has thrown a wobbly. Try unplugging from the mains to reboot the set. I hope this is helpful.
