Hi- I have a Kenmore Elite 79571053 fridge/freezer. A while back I noticed water pooling under the front right side, just underneath the freezer.

Your drainpipe might be blocked, you will need to check the reservoir at the bottom back of the fridge. It's a bit technical. I would recommend getting some help.

Maintaining your refridgerator for longer life

You should clean the back of the refridgerator and vacum it at least one a year, pull it out and clean under it and vacum the back of it, then pull off the cover on the front bottom of the fridge if the coil are underneath, purchase an appliance brush for refridgerators at any hardware store, there not expensive and clean the coils under the fridge, clean in between the black coils and pull out the dust and dirt, then vacum once you get out what you can with the brush, this needs to be done at least once a year for the best perfomance for your fridge and longer life of it......unplug the fridge before you start, the cleaner the coils the cooler the fridge will be and also will use less energy to run......when its dirty it has to work very hard to cool........make sure you unplug the fridge before you start.......hope this helps......

Jet clean system doesn't work

Did your Jet Clean System used to work, but now rejects the razor and flashes a red indicator that your reservoir is empty when it is not?

The reason is that the liquid level sensor is full of gunk (you don't want to know what the gunk is made of). You can easily clean this yourself and restore normal operation. Here's how:

1. Remove the razor and reservoir. Leave it plugged in.
2. Press the start button and when the holder hits the bottom and stops, immediately pull the plug before it comes back up.
3. Turn the unit over and clean off the gunk you can see with a Q-Tip.
4. Fill the cleaned reservoir beyond the line (almost to the top) with hottest tap water and place it on a towel on your counter.
5. Mix in 1/8 teaspoon of dishwasher detergent. Do not use Dawn or other dish detergent. It must be the type you use in your dishwasher! (Trust me on this).
6. Lower the unit onto the reservoir and let it soak for at least 20 minutes.
7. Hold the reservoir down on the towel by depressing the release buttons and pull and put the cleaning unit in and out of the reservoir 20 or more times to flush out the crud.
8. Refill the reservoir with clean, hot water and do the pull - push trick again many times. Rinse and refill the reservoir with hot water and do this again 2 more times until the water is clear and there is no debris to be seen in the water.
9. Remove the reservoir and allow the cleaner to dry thoroughly. Depending on the humidity where you do this, drying can take from several hours to an entire day. A hair dryer on the part you cleaned with the Q-Tip may help, but time will still be needed.
10. Assemble and try it. It should work like new. If it does not work properly, (mine acted like it was jammed) don't worry, it is likely not completely dry inside. Remove the reservoir and wait for it to completely dry before trying again.

Have fun!

Wiper reservoir filled with oil instead of windshield fluid

Sometimes they have those reservoirs recessed so far under stuff it is difficult to get to. Don't give up, though. There is always a way, and they are removable. Some are pulled off from the bottom. Some are placed behind a shield in the front wheel well. Usually only a couple of screws retain it. Pull the hose off, the motor connector, unfasten the screws and it should be free to come out.

Bad smell from motor

Hello,

You need to remove any spoiled food from the refrigerator and clean the interiors with hot water added with baking soda. You need to clean the door seals and remove the breaker strips. Also check for unusual wet insulation.
Hope this work

Leaking water inside refrigerator-model FRT18KC3BW2 I need know where to clean out the lines

you have to take the center bar down inside the fridge. It is the bar on top of the fridge compartment that houses the lightbulb. Unplug the fridge and unscrew the bar. There is one plug that must be unplugged, then you can pull it down. In the back is a small reservoir for water melting down from the freezer defrost, and a small tube stuck into a hole in the backof the fridge wall. pull the tube out, then flush hot hot water mixed with bleach into that hole. It will flush out anything stuck in the drain tube. If this doesnt work, you will need an external drain kit.

Bottom of refrigerator not getting cold enough, freezer is working fine, - Magic Chef -model MCBR1000w

have you cleaned out the coils underneath the fridge? it's very simple. pull the fridge out, look underneath(try pulling off the bottom grill from the front for more access), and start cleaning. to much dust and lint will hinder the coils from cooling. A vacuum with the brush attachment or little broom works good.
