I Googled to see if there was any problems related to battery sensors, seems eMachines laptops don't have that problem, the laptop runs well while plugged in, so it's not internal circuitry, I believe it's a battery problem, as you say charging level has been decreasing progressively, try your battery on another laptop to see if the battery is the problem and just in case try a friend's battery on your laptop to completely eliminate doubts about battery sensors, if you don't have a friend with a similar laptop I would go the safe way and send the battery for replacement, if the store where you bought it is in the same country you should get the laptop there so they check out what's going on, if you live in a different country read the manual or click "
eMachines customer support" to see if there's any tech support near your city, I still believe it's a battery problem.
Not I'm gonna give you some advice on taking care of your laptop's battery:
- When you get new batteries make sure you charge them at least 12 hours before using it.
- If you're not going to use your laptop in a while (one or two weeks) get the battery to full charge and then deattach it from the computer, put it back in if you're going to use it.
- If using your battery periodically get it to full charge and deplete your battery's energy completely by using the computer until it turn's off itself and then recharge it completely again at least once a week.
If you have any questions, I'll be glad to help.
Have a nice day.
