If you remove the back you will see a block with 6 knobs on it (2 red 2 green and 2 blue) DO NOT ADJUST THE BOTTOM ONES IF THE COLOR BALANCE IS FINE, slowly turn the the top green one and your green color should lose some of its glare. If not then the convergence is probably out, have you tried to adjust it using the convergence option on the menu? if you have then you would probably have to replace the STK 392 - 110 convergence chips (about 20 dollars on ebay)

If you want to adjust focus and screen there is a focus block some sets they can be found on the front behind the gril then behind a cut out held in place by screws if not check from the rear. But a ghost like you say sounds like a convergence problem

It is also posible there is a bacteria growth in the cooling fluid look down in the green lens while et is on. If there is a haze in the lens then new cooling fluid and cleaning the lens will fix it. If this is the problem removal of the tube assemby and then changing the fluid. DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON ANY CIRCUIT BOARD. The focus block as the other suggest may be the fix also. The fluid is not expensive but when you take the tue assemby out and back in you will have to reconverge the image. Make a mark around the tube to where it meets with the lens and that will help when you put the tube back on the assemby this is not a fun easy job if you have never did it before. I do hope the focus adjustment is the ticket for you but please take apeek at the tube,

I have a philips HD rear projection TV 60 in. inside there are six adjustment knobs. Three are color the other three are for brightness contrast and hue. Which is which Left to right

If yours is a rear projection TV the adjustment knobs on the focus block inside are screen (red, green, blue) and focus (red, green, blue). The ones you are referring to as color are the screen controls and they adjust the intensity of the color from each tube. The other set adjust the focus of each color. They are also not intended to be adjusted by the user. Unless major components have been changed these controls should not need adjustment. That is why they are inside the TV.

Faint lines show up when i get dark screens in movies

First check what color of faint lines comes then reduce Screen Volts in TV of that CRT (tube)
Take off lower front cover, speaker grille of TV, there you will see focus control block that has 6 control knobs, upper 3 knobs are focus adjustment of red-green-blue CRTs and lower 3 knobs are screen volt controls for red-green-blue CRTs. Turn screen volt control knob CCW to reduce screen volts of desired CRT.
Put TV on any free AV input so screen will be dark enough to adjust screen volts.
Thanks.

Screen is all Shades of Red....

You need to remove the front tv panel, search for the screws right behind the screen and speaker area on the sides of tv. Should be four of them, carefully remove the lower have/quarter and you will find a control box, 6 knobs. Try adjusting them to clear the problem, each color has its own knob, be sure to mark their original position befor adjusting. When you find the red adjustment knob, you should be able to turn it down enough so that it doesnt overpower the rest of the colors. Good luck.

SEEING TRIPLE

Possible problems: 1. Ghosting is caused by an ingress of off-air signals into the TV through the cable system, or the TV's antenna 2. An F-connector may be loose 3. The cable plant may have a "leak" in the area Solutions: 1. Check and hand tighten the cable fittings to the TV set and VCR. 2. Remove the antenna from the VHF terminals when cable is used. 3. A converter or A/B switch may be needed to correct the problem (A/B switch enables you to bypass the set-top cable box or descrambling cable box and tune all unscrambled channels directly with your TV, antenna, or VCR). good luck!
