Press the TV Guide button on the remote. Press Enter and a series of windows will appear:
1 - press OK to begin the setup process.
2 - select country - using up/down keys, press Enter, select Next using right key and press Enter (this selection procedure will work for all the rest).
3 - for US you will need to select a ZIP code.
4 - select the source of the signal - cable or antenna (for all the rest)

An "Updates" user Guide.
Please go to Page 33, FIRST to pre-set-it-up, then Chapter 10, to set-it-up, it is ALL in the above manual, there you will find step by step "How to". As I see it, it is quite straight forwards, please follow, the step by step procedure, very long winded.. however work through it. and WAIT.
NOTE BELOW
Once you set up the TV Guide On Screen™ system it may take
up to 24 hours to begin to receive TV program listings. Receipt
of all eight days of listings may take up to one week (see Screen 7)
REMEMBER Before you can start using the TV Guide On Screen™ system, you’ll need to set it up. If you haven’t already done this, please
turn to TV Guide On Screen™ System Setup on page 33 before
proceeding, to chapter 10.
My research into your set and its TV Guide feature brought up two points that may be relevant:
I hope that helps

Ooops, a closer look at the manual (p33) says that it may take 24-hours to BEGIN to receive TV program listings. Receipt of all eight days of listings may take up to one week.
So I've got to suggest speaking to a customer service or tech support rep at your service provider to confirm that their tv service supports your TV's Guide Data. 1-7 days is a long time to wait for feedback to see if a setup has been successful.

It's been over 36 hours. Actually, we have had this set for 3 years. I go back now and then and try to get it to work. It always says searching.
I called Comcast again today, and it says it has the service. And if it is getting any info.. which it is getting the channel names and numbers,........ it should get all of it. Fault of set, according to them.
I reset it back to defaults and reentered it all 2 days ago. Nothing.

I have done ALL of this... and more than one time over the last few months. As I said, I get the channels listed... names of stations with call letters/number. Nothing else. it always shows the set up checked as done and then SEARCHING. It shows that for 2 or 3 WEEKS. I've done all you said. Over and over. Followed all directions BEFORE I asked for help.
TV Guide On Screen Setup Progress:
