I have a Nuova Simonelli Mac Cup 2 Group. 1 group works fine. 2nd ... NO WATER gets to the group head.

It sounds like you may have a clog in the water line or the tubing that leads from the water tank to the 2nd group head of your coffee machine. To address this issue, you can try the following steps:

1. Disconnect the tubing from the group head and the water tank.
2. Flush the tubing with hot water to remove any buildup or debris.
3. Check the inlet and outlet holes on the group head to make sure they are not clogged or obstructed.
4. Reattach the tubing to the group head and the water tank, making sure it is securely connected.
5. Test the water flow to see if it is now flowing properly.

If the water still does not flow after following these steps, you may need to disassemble the group head and inspect it for any further blockages or damage. If you are not familiar with this type of maintenance, it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional.

I have a illy x7.1 and wil not come in the descaling mode

There is another process to get into descale mode on some 7.1 machines. I got this from Illy Support:
Descale Cycle
• Turn off machine
• So the usual filling if container with descale fluid
• Turn machine on and within 15 seconds from power on – press and hold in the big cup
button until it gives 4 acoustic signals and then release your finger.
• The big blue cup button should now be flashing
• Press the big blue cup button once – the machine will now dispense water intermittently
from the coffee group head and the steam arm and the steam and coffee button will be
flashing alternately
• Once the descaling cycle has completed it will give out a long acoustic signal
• The coffee button will continue to flash
Rinsing Cycle
• Remove the water tank – wash out and fill with clean fresh water just over the MAX level
• Empty the container holding 1 litre of water and reinstate back under coffee group head and
point steam arm in container.
• Press the flashing big cup button once
• Water will again dispense intermittently from group head and steam arm
• An acoustic signal will sound out as soon as the rinsing cycle is complete.
• The Big Blue coffee button will be steadily lit
• Remove 1 litre container.
• Remove water tank – clean and refill with clean water

–red light should now be off and ready to make coffee

La Cimbali junior group head leak after restore

Group head leaks can be caused by group gasket, portafilter basket (cup), valve, pipe fittings. Call back your service tech.
* Check group gasket and position of portafiler handle when pulling shot. The handle needs to point directly at you (your chest) if it points to your left shoulder or pops off the group then the gasket is worn, not correct size, missing spacer.
* If the handle points to the right shoulder then the gasket is, too thick, too many spacers, or it was installed without removing the old coffee (crud) from the group head and is stuck under the gasket. Remove and check group gasket and spacers.
* If the handle points directly at you but portafilter still leaks then check the basket (cup) insert. Many Barista's smash the portafilter on a bumper. If the bumper is worn and the metal bar is exposed then the basket insert will have a flat or dented lip. Check all your inserts for damage and replace worn bumper (a piece of water hose cut to size works)
* Still leaking? Remove cup tray above group and check group head for leaks around the pipes and fittings. Note: water discharge from bottom of group valve is normal DURING the pulling of a shot. It should not continue to drip water after pulling the shot.
* Still leaking? The group head needs to be checked.
* Pump, water lines, Water by-pass, Economiser, Hot water wand, and all the water fittings.

Why isn't the water coming through to make espresso in my wega espresso machine?

Either the shower screen is blocked or the metering jet on the top of the group is blocked.

My machine has worked beautifully for several years, but suddenly, I have issues with the group head. When trying to pull my espresso, I get leakage around the rim of the group head. Sometimes coffee...

I have had the same issue, this is just the group head gasket that needs to be replaced. I got all the parts and I am going to try and replace it myself

It does not fill with water

Check the nut on the top of the grouphead, make sure water is off and machine has cooled down, carefully remove nut, try not to damage gasket on the bottom of nut, check the screen and jet.

No water thru the group head

We were having the same problem and this worked for us, right from an insert that was included with the manual.

1. Fill tank with water
2. Remove the filter holder
3. open the steam tap
4. press the main switch and the coffee switch at the same time
5. close the steam tap as soon as water begins to flow
6. If after 30 sec. no water comes out repeat the operation.
7. when it starts, draw off 4 cups of water

This worked for us after we had about given up,

No water through the head!!

I had the same problem - all water going down into the tray at the bottom - virtually none through the coffer basket. I couldn't find citric acid at the store to descale so I used white vinegar instead. I 3/4 filled the reservoir with warm water, and added about 1/2-2/3 cup of vinegar. I first ran water through the 'hot water' button (it comes out the steam spout). Then I ran the entire reservoir through the machine using the 2-cups option. It started running right away. I rinsed out the reservoir with fresh water, then ran a whole reservoir of fresh water through the machine to get rid of the vinegar smell. The first cup of espresso after this treatment was as good as ever. Phew! I thought we were up for a new machine!

Steam blowing out of group head

Were you using cleancaf to descale? If so, it is not a strong enough descaler. Use Dezcal. or a Dezcal cleancaf mixture. The two work great together.

Make sure you get some descaler in the solenoid area by turning on and off the coffee button.

Hope it works out for you.
