My 512 programmable card has malfunctioned. Where

My 512 programmable card has malfunctioned on my "Rose" Husqvarna embroidery machine.. Where can I get a replacement? I have seen some on E-Bay, but all are "used" and offer no guarantee that they will work. The local dealer told me that the card is discontinued and "might" be available in Sweden!!

I ended up upgrading my designing software and it came with a new programmable card that is a different color. The old programmable cards don't work with the new program so... unless you buy a used card, you may be forking out for the new software...arrrgghhh, I hated doing it, but now I can use my machine!

What corresponding # to use on the sewing machine to recognize the 3D programmable card.?

To recognize the 3D programmable card on the Husqvarna Rose sewing machine, you need to select the corresponding design number on the machine. The design number is usually located on the packaging of the 3D programmable card or in the software used to transfer designs to the card. Once you have identified the design number, enter it into the sewing machine using the keypad or touch screen.

I want to let you know that not all Husqvarna Rose models are compatible with 3D programmable cards. Check your machine's manual or contact Husqvarna customer support for more information.

I WOULD LIKE TO TRY MACHINE QUILTING WITH MY ROSE MACHINE. DO I NEED A SPECIAL FOOT ATTACHMENT OR COMPUTER CARD?

If you want to piece quilts, I recommend a 1/4" piecing foot. Husqvarna make several different types that may be used on the Rose.
If you want a dual feed or walking foot, check out the new Interchangeable Dual Feed foot.
You only use card with the Rose for embroidery, which you can do on a quilt, but not necessary.

4D Extra and Reader/Writer

QUESTIONS:
is the reader writer a USB or parallel cord? (they have both.
If it's USB you need the 256K card otherwise the regular card, and yes it can work you just have to have the right card for your reader writer.

Husqvarna Rose embroidery unit stopping mid picture.

Could be the design you're trying to stitch out is eroded. Try rewriting the design to the card and see if that helps. If not, take your machine along with the embroidery unit, peddle, hoops, etc. to your tech for a once over. It may just need an adjustment.

Husqvarna 1+ programmable card

To the second poster with the malfunctioning "card" - do you mean the insert panel/card (overlay) with "E" on it? If so then there is no programmable feature to it. The overlay has notches in the left edge that presses a pattern of leaf switches on the left behind the case and it uses internal designs in memory. If on the other hand you mean that little memory card that you can use with the reader/writer and goes with the "0" (zero) card/overlay then you can get them from a Husq-Viking dealer, or keep an eye on used ones on ebay.

Most dealers sell the "programmable" as a "0" (zero) card set where you get the zero cassette/panel/overlay and the little programmable embroidery card as a set. Most reader-writer sets, either the older parallel port type or the newer 3D/4D USB one will come with one many times. You need to check the dealers and see what they have to offer. The programmable embroidery card is still rather pricey. I'm looking into whether there is some generic type memory card that might work too but have yet to find one and may not since the HV programmable card is likely proprietary since it goes back to the early 90's.

Will a Husqvarna #1 Plus embroidery unit work on a Husqvarna Rose machine?

I am sorry to inform you that Husqvarna # 1 embroidery unit does not fit onto the Rose machine. The terminals on the Rose is upright, while on the H # 1 it is flat. If you want to do embroidery on the Rose, you will have to purchase the embroidery unit.

Sad but true
