The reviews by people who own this camera say "yes", you can use a 4gb memory stick WITH an adapter (which, they say, is no longer manufactured). Read the review by Sparkn, he explains it well. He also mentions, however, that even if a 4gb memory stick w/ adapter is used, you can only shoot 2gb of video, so, considering all this, I would just use 2gb sticks, and carry some spares for large videos. Hope this helps.

Based on the tests done by Sony it can use up to 2GB but users can even use up to 4gb.

Cannot get my memory stick to work in my camera. The only memory I have is the 'internal memory' which is good for about one minute and possibly 10 photos. How do I get the memory stick of 1GB to start...

Did you formatted memory stick in camera?
Insert memory stick in camera and Format it by going into setup menu, you will see Format option and this will solve the issue.
If problem still not solved and camera gives memory stick error then try another memory stick in camera, you can use up to 2GB memory stick in this camera.
Thanks.

Memory Stick for my DSC P-72 3.2 mega pixel camera is not working. The larger stick is no longer available. Will the camera take the adapter for the smaller disc and a 2gig stick?

your camera is only available for use with a regular memory stick . it's not compatible with pro memory sticks (or ms greater than 256mb). so even if you you a memory stick adaptor with a 2gb ms, it will not work with cam. you'll need regular ms with has a maximum capacity of up to 128mb only.although those ms are no longer available from sony, you can do an internet search (like google) to check availability of the ms from online dealers.you can type in the ms models: msh128 or mshm128a.(that's a duo size ms w/included adaptor).you'll be suprise to find out it's still available online.hope this helps.tnx:)

When i turn on my camera ,memory stick formatting error comes up

If it is Sony DSC-T200 camera then use maximum 2GB memory stick as it can not handle 4GB memory.

Memory sticks empty and shows no memory available

i have a solution that worked! Notice: save all the needed data on your computer, because Formatting your Memory stick will wipe everything out!
if you have a Sony PSP, or know someone who does, replace the memory stick that says "no memory Space" in to the PSP port, go to "Settings" which is the left-most section of the PSP main screen, then scroll down to "System Settings," select it, Scroll down again to the "Format Memory Stick" selection and press "X" follow on-screen instructions and  SHAZAM!  its ready for action in your camera again!

Pictures only save to internal memory, not memory stick...

DSC-W80 sybershot camera has facility when you insert Memory Stick in its slot, it automaticaly selects this memory card and starts saving data on it and internal memory got suspended.
Pls check memory stick 2GB and inert it correctly in memory slot in camera.

No piks showing

The memory card can't be more then 2gb...the camera won't support more than that. Have you formatted the memory with the camera? If not try that, don't format the card with your computer.
