I'd like Employee B's phone ext to ring when a call is made to Employee B who is away. I punch in feature+4+ "2 digit" ext., then sits there. What's the next move? Only option on display is "cancel". Help please? I believe this is call forwarding. I'm just stumped at the next step after keying destination ext.

Employee forgot his password and need to change the voicemail for new employee. Is there a way to reset the phone. Phone model is a Superset 4025. My phone number to the phone is (563) 690-3230 or email...

Each mailbox password is held in the system programming of the voicemail system. You need the system admin password for voicemail. Dial the access code for voicemail, if from a phone with voicemail then press * to get to the main greeting. At the main greeting dial * then the system admin mailbox number which is 99 for 2 digit ext numbers or 999 for 3 digit ext numbers or 9999 for 4 digit ext numbers then you will be prompted for the system admin passcode(default 1234). Press 2 for add/edit/delete (Never press 1 for new installation or you could delete all current voicemail programming and messages). Press 2 to edit mailbox, you will be prompted for the mailbox to edit, enter the mailbox number. Press # to skip to the passcode reset, enter the new passcode or press * to reset to default(999) then press # for each of the remaining parameters until you are returned to the mailbox menu which prompts for press 1 to add mailbox, 2 to edit mailbox, and 3 to delete mailbox, then hangup.

When calls come into the office ext. 10 rings. It's the receptionist's desk. However ext. 29 rings too. How can I stop ext. 29 from ringing on all incoming calls?

Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Central telephone Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

Press the line that you want to ring.
A solid light on the line means immediate ringing
A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.)
A fast flashing light means no ringing.

When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.

Press feature "00" to logout

How do i transfer a call with my norte t7316e

There are 3 Flexible Feature buttons under the horizontal display. When you are on a call, the display will show "Transfer" over the last button. Press that button, which will automatically put the caller on hold, pick up an intercom and prompt you to enter the extension to transfer the caller to. Enter the ext. number and tell your employee who is on the call, and heng up - the caller will be connected automatically. Or, after dialing the ext. to transfer the caller to, just hang up and the call will ring through. Good Luck!

My fault - I meant to say I'd like outside calls to Employee A's extension automatically ring on Employee B's extension. Employee A is away on holidays. Hope this clears it up. Thanks.

Ok, assuming that person A's extension is 25 and person B's extensions extension is 26, then at extension 25 and enter feature 4 then 26. You might want to verify what person A's extension is. It almost sounds like its looking for a 3 didit extension.

Line Redirection / No answer transfer

Nortel Networks is intentionally deceitful in their manual (forcing you to call them for assistance that you must pay for). While they say to use Feature 84/Line Direction for calls to an external line, this will not work. (Even when the phone tells you that all calls have been redirected.) Rather, use Feature 4/Call Forward. In the manual it says this is for other lines within the system, but it will work for an external line.
