Question about Samsung AS18A6RB Air Conditioner
In my house ...Iam using samsung split AC..1.5 Tons ..which normally takes ..6 to 7 amps of current...(1.6KW) If I see my house electrical system ..Iam having 16Amps Socket and wiring is 320 gauge ...
my ac mechanic was telling I need to replace with 720 gauge wiring ... my question is is it really required change to 720.
If I continue to use 320 gauge ..is there any risk ...involved.
The factor that you have not included here is the distance from the power panel to the unit...if it is too far then you need to up gauge the wire to compensate for that... that could be why the electrician wanted to go to the 720 ga. wire.
