I installed the Pioneer AVH-P6600 in my 1997 Buick Century and the way my dash is layed out it overhangs slightly above the radio. I already flipped the install kit upside down because I knew the dash would get in the way of the motorized screen. The problem I am having is the dash (by a 1/4 inch) is in the screen's way, causing the screen to be angled down. I know that I can pull the head unit slightly out of the chassis but that just looks ghetto. It's not entirely a big deal but just the thought of knowing that it's not perfect bothers me. Does anybody have any ideas of how to remedy this?

You can find a wiring diagram for your 87 monte at http://www.modifiedlife.com/1987-chevrolet-monte-carlo-car-audio-wiring-schematic/ You can refer to the installation manual for your deck at http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/130/130AVHP570.PDF Since you are removing a shaft style radio and installing a DIN style you will need to perform extensive modifications to your dash. The Pioneer manual provides the dimensions.
