We calling convergence problem. Re solder fly back terminal ( transformer) Replace pico fuse 400mA(little red box fuse) beside fly back. Go to set up, convergence, select auto convergence and your TV will work perfect. I will be here for any future question. Thank you for visit fix ya.
its probably convergence - here is my tutorial http://www.fixya.com/support/r5001731-convergence_diagnosing_convergence Let me know if I can be of further assistance. rca hint at the bottom.. it probably needs a convergence power board, easy install.. 4 screws and 2 plugs(wires)
Is the convcergence ( Alignment) also off which gives the TV a 3D look around items on the screen? If so replace the STK730-130 on the convergence power supply
Normally this is either bad connections on the convergence ICs or defective ICs. If you can solder, you should be able to fix this. First locate the convergence ICs: large black ICs attached to a heat sink that shouldbe marked STKxxx. Try resoldering the pins on these ICs first. If that fails, replace the ICs.

This is a convergence problem. If you can solder, you should be able to repair this yourself. Please update this to confirm the model as P52960 and whether or not you wish to attempt the repair and I will supply additional details and instructions.
It's possible it could be the problem cause thats the power supply ic to the convergence circuits and it only has 1 where most has 2 stk's you can get a replacement ic at the sight i posted for you with free tec support http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
I wish it was that simple. On this chassis there are many parts that have gone bad in the past to cause this very symptom. So many in fact that there is a repair kit available that contains common failure parts p/n 250686-KIT. This is NOT a DIY project as many of the parts are small and would be hard to locate and impossible to replace by anyone not having superior soldering skills. It would not surprise me if the repair on this set would set you back about $350. If you can get a free estimate, great, but if you can swing it, you may be better off putting that money towards a new DLP rear projection NON RCA HDTV. I have had good luck with Toshiba sets for the last several years, and Consumer Reports seem to agree with me.
