Cd-rom won't read software cd for installing wireless-g router

Connect an Ethernet cable between the network-port on your computer and one of the LAN ports on the router.

Now, you have a "direct" connection to the web-server that is "inside" the router. Open your web-browser, and connect to the web-server, and then you can run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard" to create your wireless network, i.e., pick an SSID and a password, and enable "WPA" (Wireless Protected Access) security.

Now, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable, and you can "find" the SSID that you have chosen.

For that right click on my computer icon then click on property then hardware-<device manager.
Then you can see all driver list click on network adapter and enable it.
You can configure your router without disk too.

For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Click on WAN settings and set those settings as your internet service provider settings.
Enable DHCP if you want to get ip from router.
Click on wireless settings enable wireless then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.

go inline on another pc bring a flash drive with you and download it to that then plug in flash drive and run the program to your pc

you dont need to use3 the cd rom to install wireless on your xbox least not the one fromn your pc

You do not need to install any software in order for a router to opperate.

Here is a link to Linksys's section (with downloads) on that particular router. http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WRT54G/ <br> If you are just trying to modify the settings of the router, you do not need software to do that other than a web browser. Start your internet browser of choice and type in the URL box 192.168.100.1 which should bring up your modem's settings.

It will be quicker for you to go online at www.linksys.com and download.

type in model details and add driver after them in live search or google and youre sure to find a page which has the software you need.if you dont find anything using word driver then use word software

connect the router by cable, less chance of data loss
