Hp psc 1510 - replacing cartridge problem

Purchase a New Retail cartridge and this should fix your problem. Aftermarket Refilled cartridges are usually not a good idea for HP printers.

This is error is common after a cartridge is refilled, in most cases it's because of "bad refill" and we can also say "dead cartridge". If possible, Please try the cartridge on another printer or try your printer with another cartridge. (i hope you know what tri color mieans = the color cartridge). Make sure the cartridge is not overflowing or leaking. Clean if possible, and never touch the print head, if you ever did so there's no way to make it work again. Hope this helps. you should leave the color cartridge in the printer though it is empty. it will still work. secondly, when going to print, in the print page setup, click on the tab for blk only. hope this works

re-install the cartridges again and push little bit with force.

It was a "refilled" cartridge and not a new cartridge. For some reason the refilled cartridge was empty after being filled recently. Not sure why or how. A new replacement cartridge fixed the problem.

Thank you I don't need assistance now as I have solved this problem by buying some new print cartridges as the ones we had refilled were not accepted by the printer.

the cartridges are damage or not the right ones for your printer. first make sure you clean the cartridges before installing cos ink on the cartridge (panel) can stop the printer from detecting it.

I will explain you the cause for it.

It prints in yellow first and then override with black for better quality. This is the reason your color ink gets empty.

try install catridge one by one see whether it is accepting or not. just install black catridge and see if you not getting any error that mean your balck catridge is ok may be problem with colour catridge it may me becoz of dry ink or dust in catridge nozle try to clean the catridge by tissue paper and see. bye
