Haven't dropped the player or anything, battery was totally dead yesterday, hadn't been used in a while, plugged it in and it to USB and worked fine, the organizer popped up and could bring all songs up. Today, I can't turn it on at all, unless I take the battery out, then it starts and then just stops with Creative logo, can't turn it off, unless I take the battery out and the organized doesn't recognize that is plugged in. Any answers?

Sounds like a battery problem - either the battery is totally dead or just needs recharging - note that when the battery totally loses its charge, I believe it is sometimes not possible to recharge it using the usb port and software method (NOTE you MUST have the software installed and running for it to charge this way).. you may have to charge it using the connector to the power adapter.
OK all is well just....Allow unit to run dead.recharge battery.turn on and push reset(small
paper clip in reset hole).turn off and back on .should now work.if not
format and download new soft ware at
unfortunately, the best solution is to send it back to creative for them to check it out. this sometimes happens when the player has been unused for too long and battery "under charges", which there is a solution.but seeing as u used it under normal conditions, that cant be the problem
Simply let it sit and let the battery run out. When it's totally battery-dead, plug it back in and let it charge. It will be unfrozen when it's ready. You might also want to try sliding the off button down while you hit reset for a quicker version (doesn't always work)
Zen V is dead "If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."
