Just hack off the barrell connector, get the correct size from Radioshack and solder it up. it's a less then 1 dollar fix and take about 30 seconds to do. Don't let a little thing like this keep ya down!
The DC plug should be 5.5mm x 2.5mm, try RADIO SHACK.
