Just hack off the barrell connector, get the correct size from Radioshack and solder it up. it's a less then 1 dollar fix and take about 30 seconds to do. Don't let a little thing like this keep ya down!

Hi, I have a Polyview V293 LCD Monitor with a power supply output of 19v 3.42A. The power supply has failed. Most i have found being offered as direct replacement for this monitor have an output of 19v...

If the power adapter is a separate from the monitor then check the monitor's label on the back of the screen for the power rating. If the rating on the label is greater than 3.16A then I would not purchase this adapter.
I suggest you purchase an adapter with a current rating greater than what is stated on the monitor's label.
Check out this WEB site for power adapters - a 19Volt 90 watt = 4.7A power supply is suitable.

What type of cable power supply do I need for a V7 L17PS monitor? I got this monitor for free but no cables came with it. Thanks

Looks like it takes a 19V 3.42A Power supply.
Look on the back of the monitor near the power jack and find where it says "input"
If it says 19V 3.42A then this is what you want:

What size is the power socket lead is it 5.5 outer and 2.5 inner thanks for your help

From my repair experience, 5.5 OD and 2.5 ID is commonly use on the power supply adapter since 2.5mm is made to handle higher current than the 2.1mm (2.1mm is usually for 2A or less).
Center is also positive.
But your can also be 6.5mm OD x 3mm ID. I would try Radi Shack, that is where I get the DC barrel connector in case of emergency repair.

What the parameters (The voltage and polarity) of hjwer adapter for the monitor VIDEOSEVEN E17PS?

grigory27419, I wonder why they didn't print or emboss the polarity symbol on or near the place where the plug is inserted into the back of the monitor? I saw a specification that said it requires 19volts dc. But it didn't mention anything about how much current ( 1.5amp, 1.7 amp, 2.1 amp???) it requires. More importantly, why or what caused failure of original "black-brick" supply??? 12fixlouie

Volume

Start --> Settings --> Control Panel.
Sounds and Audio Devices.

There is a volume slider here, and should be an option to put an icon in the system tray where you can click to adjust the volume anytime. Make sure you are not muted.

My Videoseven Monitor is just displaying a white screen (or sometimes grey) It does not respond to the computer.  I know its not the wires or computer as I have changed the monitor to another one and the...

Hi this is the way how to examine what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burning spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so.

Hope this help!! If anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you,
