Turn off Garmin device. Press down on bottom right corner of the touchscreen [ Don't let go ] , and then power on the GPS unit. You should be prompted whether do you really want to erase all user data, or asked if do you really want to start up in maintenance mode. Press “Yes” to reset (warning: all data will be erased and lost, so backup before proceeding) or enter maintenance mode.

There are two possibilities as to why your GPS is not responding.
The first is to check your System Settings. Although it should not affect your GPS signal, check to see if the WAAS / EGNOS setting was turned off. If so, try turning it back on.
The other possibility is that the Garmin device is not reporting the status of your antenna properly. When the Antenna is closed on the nuvi 350, it disables the GPS functionality. Simply open the antenna to re-enable GPS. If the antenna IS open, there could be a hardware malfunction. This would require contacting Garmin for additional assistance.

not sure if you are keeping the tab open but...the reason is because the tab at the top of the GPS is the antannae. You have to open it or it won't work. when you press the reset button, you are opening the antannae first which then acquires the satellites. Keep the top tab open.
