Last night it keep saying the balance was off, so we would move clothes around, it would work another minute and do the same.. well I went ahead and cancelled the wash and then tried to start it again and now it makes a humming sound and it sounds like no water is coming thru.. we have no manuel, we moved like 5 times since we bought it. we have replaced the pump once since we bought it, could it be another pump problem and if thats the problem, why did it also keep saying it was unbalanced,,
Thank you!
It could have something to do with the water flow as it uses water to help balance the load take the hoses off the water valves to see if they are clogged look at the screens push pause cancel twice to clear the error code kenmore is built by whirlpool so if you send me an email at [email protected] ill send you an owners manuel also get a mop bucket and stick the hoses down in it to make sure your valves are clear
Very possible that you do indeed have a pump issue, try clearing the lint out if it, there is a mew pump/motor assy, its one piece, redesigned with a larger impeller and less room for lint to get **** in, if your pump clips into place onto the motor assy you have the older model. you can still pop off the hoses, and check for lint build up..... the reason it faults as an off bal is that it tries to spin with too much water in drum and throes itself off bal, def a related problem

I've had a similiar problem on my calypso. In my case the key pad would go dead after washing or pushing stop after a few minutes. If I unpluged the unit for a few minutes it would work again. This would appear to be in the controller board. I removed the board and inspected it finding no problems. After re-installing the board the washer appears to be working again. My conclusion is that there is a loose connector/connection. I'd suggest you remove and re-install all the connectors on the controller board. This is the board closest to the power chord.
Good Luck, George S.

The FL error code means:
Flood Condition:
FL flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lack condition in order for FL to be displayed
With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit.
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
This problem I see on these are the water pumps getting clogged with lint or other things, causing the pump not to pump all of the water out at times.
There is a check "valve" in the drain assembly that seems to sometimes cause problems with the FL error code. You can remove this piece, and might avoid changing the pump.
