My 1.5 ton,LG split AC shuts off rather

My 1.5 ton,LG split AC shuts off rather erratically. i have a voltage stabiliser and MCB in the power circuit. The input AC Voltage varies from 168-199. The copper tubing connecting the out door unit is bare, as the thin foam sheathing which is only of cosmetic value, is gone. The service persons do not comment or advise on the protective tubing of copper conduits.
I have changed the stabiliser , but not with much success.
Do the bare conduits contribute to the malfunction? I mean, do they make the compressor work for longer time and cause the trip?
Or are the low voltage and the stabiliser , the culprits?help will be much appreciated

Hello
First the foam insulation is not just for looks, you will have some loss of cooling on the unit, the larger cooper line needs to be insulated, the small one does not.The large line is the suction line, the small one the liquid line.
Voltage,168 is low, sounds like a 208 volt unit or 220 volt.running at 168 or 198 ac volts is going to raise the amperage causing the compressor to run hot and work harder and soon burn up,And cause it to trip the breaker or shut itsself down on high heat.Your going to need to get that voltage fixed.I dont know why it needs a stabilizer if the unit was sized correctly it shouldnt need one.
Hope this helps.

What is the minimum volts required to run 1.5 ton 5 star AC?

Low voltage will burn out all the motors Higher currents will ruin the start capacitor on the compressor and fan motors too. 220 vac is the minimum. You have to allow for inrush or start up current which most likely is the cause of the under voltage. You'll have to get a larger capacity stabilizer.

Lights flicker or dim when 1 ton split a/c outdoor unit compresser starts & click sound appears from double booster or in MCB . ( BUT NOT DRIPPING )

Samsung units won't operate properly below 190 volts and over 230 volts. You need a transformer similar to what they use in marinas. In Mexico they use step up transformers on appliances because of voltage drops in the evening until the electric company winds up the supply.

Best split ac 1.5 ton

I think you just have a faulty unit. Most of the mid wall split units have similar components and there are only cosmetic differences. Lg is strangely enough a good aircon. Personally i like Samsung .(Spares are easily available). You should concider who the best after sales service supplier is and go that way. (As stated, most units are similar in my oppinion.)

Window 1.5 AC Problem During Day

Chack size of wire. Should be at least number 10 wire. Check loose connections. Call power company to check your voltage. This time of year in different parts of the country they have brownouts which is a voltage drop becaus of the load on the lines. Have power checked. Rus
