I have a Philips LCD 220CW monitor that has a vertical line 'scanning' back and forth. On the bottom left it says Smartimage ON and on the bottom right it says Smartimage off. How do I make this stop?
Just hold the smart image button (last on left side of display)

hold down the menu button (first on the left) on the screen for about 30sec....that should turn off the smartimage.

On my 224 CL I pushed the left button on the base for maybe 5secs... and the SMARTimage thing disappeared.

I tried and hold SmartImage on for 5 seconds, but nothing changes ...
I had the same problem with my screen. left button on screen worked to stop it.
it seems as if this kind of screen is very sensitiv on cellphone waves.
if my nokia is close to the screen the screen starts to setup different things for itself.
