I own 2 Bose wave radios. One is 5 yrs old and

I own 2 Bose wave radios. One is 5 yrs old and the other is 2 yrs old. Both have difficulties reading cds. The cds are in good condition and will work fine when used on a portable dvd player so I don't know why they arent reading them. After several tries and attempts to blow off dust they eventually work. It pretty much happens with every cd we use. Any answers? Thx

I took mine back to the Bose store and they gave me credit on my Wave that was about ten years old toward a new CD wave radio. I would recommend taking it to the Bose store and see what they can do for you.

After placing several discs in the bose wave radio

Buy a quality CD radio. Bose is not quality. It is overpriced overhyped so-so quality stuff. Repairs by Bose will cost more than a better quality replacement.

WAVE radio transformer bad ???

If you can check ohms, you can also read volts. Open the radio again and look for DC volts on the rectifiers capacitors. They look like :cans", normally the color is blue. Check for positive dc v. against chassis ground. If no + tension, your rectifier or your secondary are open.

Bose wave radio wont turn on

I have one that is doing the same thing. Will your radio make a POP sound when you unplug it? I was told by Bose Tech it is 15 yrs old and they will not work on it. He told me that if it makes a POP sound that it is not the fuse or power supply???

Bose Wave radio humming noise

Actually the problem was caused by a bad 470uf cap, that was used to filter the powersupply for all the analog amps. Replaced the cap the unit works like new.
