Have you checked for voltage at the pump motor? Did you wire it correctly? Is the motor 110V or 220V. Did you match the motor to your existing voltage?

Are there any other booster pumps that I can use to run my pool cleaner? I had a Polaris bp4-60 for 7 years, it finally failed. Replaced it with same model. Ran for few mins then shuts off then restarts....

I think Polaris should refund the purchase price on these pumps. I changed the breaker, the whip, and upgraded the outlet (using 110). The dealer exchanged it for me, but would not give me a refund, and I had the same issue with the second motor. I used a Hayward 6060 pump as a replacement. Everything works fine.

plastic bag with a few socks in it, can be used to block the skimmer plumbing, if the pump is lower than the pool ! if not it will stop draining after the filter emptys

I hooked up a new Polaris 280 pool cleaner to replace my Arneson Navigator and it doesn't move.

I would first take it out of the water and check for proper wheel RPM. If it is less than 28 RPM or you are getting no movement at all, it is going to be a problem with the power source. It is likely going to be that your booster pump is missing, malfunctioning, or is not installed properly on the pool cleaner. There are a few other things to check. Clean the skimmer, filter and pump basket, clearing any debris that restricts water flow. Check the hoses, connections and swivels for leaks. Try removing the blue restrictor disk from the UWF or if an adjustable gate valve is installed on the booster pump or cleaner line, open it completely so water can flow freely.

Polaris booster pump runs for minute but quits. Tries to restart

The motors are usually dual voltage and factory connected for 230V. Are you sure it is properly wired and set for the correct incoming line voltage?
